After months of requests, the first ever Riverside Market Home Brew Competition will take place at Riverside Market Café, Tuesday, March 19th. Home Brewers are invited to showcase their best beer creations to a crowd of spectators, as well as, compete for prizes in the following categories: IPA, Double IPA, Stout, Pale, Amber, Beligian, Tutti Fruity, Brown, Malt Beverage, People's Choice, and Judge's Choice. The competition will be moderated by a panel of local craft beer enthusiasts including Adam Fine, Owner of Native Brewing, Julian Siegel, Owner of Riverside Market, Brett Hubbard, Beer Sommelier, Eric Barton, Local Editor and Founder of Barefoot Mailman.

Siegel explains (in true Julian Siegel fashion), "Our customers include such a dynamic group of home brewers, that it would be a tragedy for the general public not to enjoy the home brewed fruits of their labor. As craft beer continues to dominate the South Florida market, it was our duty to provide a platform for these brewers to showcase their talent."

The event begins at 7pm, and is open to the public. Home Brewers' entry fee is $25, while spectators can participate in the sampling, and vote on the People Choice award, for $10. Brewers may enter in up to 5 categories, and can sign up through exposedprandevents.com/homebrew.

Riverside Market is owned by husband and wife team Julian & Lisa Siegel and located at 608 SW 12th Ave Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. A purveyor of over 550 craft beers, as well as, a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, the market opened in 2010 and has continued to gain local recognition ever since. Riverside Market has established itself as a true "locals" spot for the historic Sailboat Bend and Riverside Park neighborhoods, as well as, a premier provider of craft beer in South Florida--specializing in limited batch and hard to find brands. Riverside Market is open 7 days a week from 8am until the last patron leaves.
