The KahBang music | art | film Festival in collaboration with Central Street Farmhouse and Nocturnem Draft Haus is proud to present the second annual Bangor Brew Fest at the KahBang Festival. Starting at Noon on August 10th, 2013 at The Bangor Waterfront, there will be live music performances, special guest speakers and beer exhibitors including Sierra Nevada, Unibroue, Harpoon and Sam Adams.

The Bangor Brew Fest will consist of 3 separate sessions; an afternoon session from Noon - 3 pm, an evening session from 5 - 8 pm, and a special VIP tasting from 4 - 5 pm which will feature exclusive labels from select breweries that will only be available during that one-hour session. For those who would like to attend the BrewFest and experience the performances and the atmosphere but do not wish to sample the beer, a designated driver ticket will be available, complete with a bottle of Capt. Eli's soda to enjoy during the sessions.

Ticket holders will have the opportunity to attend lectures from special guest speakers and brewing experts throughout the day. The Festival keynote will be John Palmer, author and self publisher of “How to Brew”. John will be presenting in our speaker tent between sessions and will also be available during each regular Brew Fest sessions to interact with ticket holders, as well as sign copies of his book. During the VIP session John will be doing a guided tasting with some of the select labels not offered during the regular sessions.

Home brewing and equipment demonstrations will also be available at the Brew Fest. Professional brewers as well as entrepreneurs will be presenting throughout the afternoon and evening, showcasing equipment as well as giving step-by-step instructions on how to become a home brewer, and giving tips on how to start your own brewery.

The finalists of the 3rd annual Maine Homebrewers Competition presented by Central Street Farmhouse will also be announced from the Brew Fest stage on Saturday afternoon. Winners get a chance to brew with local brewmasters and one grand prize winner will have their recipe brewed professionally. Submissions for the competition will be accepted from July 5 - July 19.
