6th Anniversary Barrel Aged BeerFest

This years annual Barrel Aged BeerFest will be on Saturday, August 3rd starting at 2pm. It will not include a souvenir glass and will be general admission. We will be doing a VIP After Party on Sunday, August 4th that will be held in our new space above the bar (known to some as The Upper Lip).

Back to Saturday – We are changing out all the beers and putting on 20 amazing barrel aged rarities. Expect some slight changes to the list until the very last minute.

Block 15 Illusions with fresh tart cherries (pin) - Illusions is our new black sour/wild ale matured in 1st & 2nd run bourbon barrels for 18 months. 8.5% ABV.

de Garde Banks Again - A unique blend for Baileys anniversary of an imperial wild red ale blended with a sour red. The blend of Port, Bourbon, and Red Wine barrels gives a subtle complexity to the soft acids and rich hop profile. 9.4% 55ibu

Firestone Parabloa -

Fish ’08 Old Woody - Old Woody has been brewed in the style of English Old Ales. We have aged this beer in oak wine casks for six months before bottling it. Old Woody will age well for several years if stored in a cool dark cellar. 10%

Fort George ‘12 The Three Wisemen - The Three Wisemen honor the holiday tradition of gifting: in this case, gifting your liver an Imperial oatmeal stout that has been lovingly conditioned in Bourbon, Tequila and Rum barrels, then brought back together to form a wonderfully warming, cunningly complex and graciously gratifying Yuletide elixir. 9.9%

Midnight Sun Berserker - Vicious and viscous, this menacing brew pours opaque black with a creamy maduro-colored head. Its aroma offers seductive whiskey, chewy red wine, dark fruit and lavish tobacco. Berserker Imperial Stout invades your taste buds with in-your-face flavor. 12.7%

Moylans ‘10 Cherry Old Blarney Barleywine aged in Girard Chardonnay Barrel 10%

Nebraska Apricot Au Poivre - An artful interpretation of a Belgian-style Saison created with Apricot Puree and Black Pepper. Aged for 6 months in third-use French Oak Chardonnay barrels.Delicate flavors and aromas of oak, apricot, chardonnay, and pepper intertwined in the barrel to achieve a flavor profile that is simultaneously complex and delightful. 6.8%

Ninkasi Raspberry Oatis - A rich, complex oatmeal stout with just enough hops to balance the copious quantities of dark roasted malts. With the addition of oatmeal for creamy smooth drinkability and a subtle raspberry bouquet up front, this beer delivers a richly-refined oak finish. For a deliciously sweet take on our year-round favorite, we aged Oatis Oatmeal Stout for ten months in Heaven Hills bourbon barrels, adding Oregon and Washington raspberries in the last two months. 7.2% 50IBUs

North Coast ‘12 Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin XV –

Oakshire Funk d’Farmhouse - Save the Farmhouse is our annual creation made for the North American Organic Brewers Fest. In 2012 we fermented a portion with a special blend of yeast and organisms and aged it for a year in Oregon Pinot Noir Barrels. After careful blending, the result is a rustic ale with pleasant fruity aromas and funky undertones. The mild acidity on the finish is a refreshing end and should continue to develop over time. Embrace the Funk! 6.6%

Russian River ‘10 Supplication –

Upright Bailey’s Sixth Anniversary Beer - Single cask Six aged in a pinot barrel we’ve had since the very beginning. It was originally inoculated with brett lambicus and has had various fruits added like currants and cherries, so there’s a distinct fruity undertone. This batch was in there for over 14 months. 7%
