Flying Saucer’s Memphis Oktoberfest benefitting Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy

In honor of the 180th Oktoberfest in Munich, Flying Saucer is hosting its Memphis Oktoberfest benefiting Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy Saturday, Sept. 28 from 5 to 10 p.m. in a huge tent in front of Saucer's downtown Memphis location. The tent will cover the entire street, from 2nd Street to November 6th Street on Peabody Place. Beer enthusiasts will enjoy more than 15 specialty beers, including pumpkin, Oktoberfest and fall fest brews. Saucer will transform the street into a Barvarian festival with entertainment provided by The Oom-Pah-Sters, a Polka and variety band from Nashville, as well as a traditional bratwurst eating competition for brave participates will eat for glory and a prize. In addition, an assortment of restaurants will have stations inside the tent with food available for purchase.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Flying Saucer or online at www.beerkurd.com/stores/memphis. With ticket purchase, guests can chose one of the following options – a 17-ounce commemorative boot mug filled with specialty brew of choice or a taster card that comes with a 5-ounce glass to sample five specialty brews of choice. Refills will be available for $5 for the mug, and pints will be sold at regular price. A portion of all proceeds goes to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy.

Must be 21 and up to attend.
