Join Culinary Dropout’s Executive Chef Fred Flores for an Oskar Blues Brewery beer dinner on Monday, Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m. The Scottsdale Waterfront restaurant will offer a four-course meal expertly paired with some of Oskar Blue’s tastiest beers.

Here’s the menu:

First Course
Winter Samosa - Market Veggies, Romesco and Green Apple Chutney
Pairing: Dale’s Pale Ale

Second Course
House Salad topped with Pils Vinaigrette, Tomato and Parmesan
Pairing: Mama’s Little Yella Pils

Third Course
Fried Chicken and Ribs - Buttermilk Biscuit, Mashed Potatoes and Coleslaw
Pairing: Maker’s Mark Bourbon Barrel Aged Dale’s Pale Ale

Dessert
Bread Pudding - Golden Raisins, Cinnamon and Caramel
Pairing: Old Chub Scotch Ale

Oskar Blues is the first American Craft Brewery to brew and can their beer. The Longmont, Colo.-based brewery launched its canning operation in a 60-year-old barn next door to the pub in the fall of 2002. The original crew used a hand-canning line on a table-top machine that sealed one can at a time. Since then, Oskar Blues has grown to be a leader in Colorado and has added a brewery in Brevard, N.C. Currently, Culinary Dropout offers “Ten Tidy” and “Mama’s Little Yella Pils” by the can, and “Dale’s Pale” on draft.
