Pliny the Younger Healing Hop for Sheila

What: Charity

When: Monday - March 19, 2018 @ 05:00PM to Monday - March 19, 2018 @ 07:00PM

Where: Monk's Café, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
On February 9, beloved Dirty Frank's bartender and Sunshine Arts founder Sheila Modglin was struck by a car on the Lincoln Drive, sustaining devastating injuries. Sheila is well-known in the Philadelphia community, having worked 25 years at Dirty Frank's and spread joy and creativity by bringing the arts to kids in Upper Darby. She is not insured, and currently faces a long road of rehabilitation and no income.

Because bar family IS family, we are tapping a keg of rare and delicious Russian River Pliny the Younger on Monday, March 19 at 5pm, with 100% of the full purchase price of the beer donated directly to Sheila. Ten ounce glasses of Pliny the Younger will be $15, CASH ONLY, and every dollar will go to Sheila's recovery fund.

We are joining forces with our dear Fergie's Pub to make this a Pliny the Younger Healing Hop for Sheila - After you toast to health and friendship at Monk's, HOP on over to Fergie's when they tap their own keg of Pliny the Younger at 7pm! It'll be a day to remember, doing good while enjoying one of the most-coveted beers in the world.

If you can't make it, but still want to help, you can donate directly to Sheila's recovery fund here:
