An after thought as a destination stop its on a frontage road and its hard to find on the hill. The selection is OK service is friendly, but who wants to drive here? Worth a stop if hunting a whale to get lucky or maybe close to a hotel.

What a cool place in the heart of the hood. Tiny Diner Resurrected a station and made it cool and ECO friendly. Seating outside in the summer with a fire pit. several dozen great taps with most local and some regional. A great eclectic place that happens to have great taps with great food and service.

This off site Liquor store is actually quite nice. if you are Downtown on a stay shop here, If you live close by its your store, looking for rare or 1OFFS your timing may be great. This is a full service store with a nice brew selection, service is good but prices are 10% higher added with DWTN tax hike. It is however a nice destination and you just might find a whale if your timing is right.

LOL What a store. I will say the service is good. It is right by the Marriott and the Radisson so you can get BMC late night from the hotel. Booze is here for that also. As a beer store NADA, you wont find much in your stay in the Twin Cities. Go to Lunds, Haskells or Whole foods if you are Downtown.

A solid Liquor store its full service and leans towards wine. Its on the new East Side this place will rock by 2018. Hotels and residences are coming this store is already here. I liked the selection prices are good service is good, Beer needs to expand a little but i think its coming. A great location it will be close to many hotels and condo/ apt soon, Worth a stop. You will find something to drink here. Also have free parking in back.

Solid place, over 50 taps. Both beer and food was served up quickly. I was passing through on business and looked them up on BA. They have an outdoor seating area which looks good for warm evenings, but I just wanted to scan the 50+ tap list. Had a very nice TX BA chocolate stout, it was excellent. I don't think there is great deal of craft beer around there, I'd go back.

An eclectic little liquor store in the North Loop they have a decent selection, they get the hard to get brews, they are overpriced on brew by 10%. The owner is strange and indifferent she makes you feel like you are doing her a favor by spending money here. An uncomfortable feeling while paying more for beer is a formula i will not tolerate. Skip this place by all means go to Lunds or Whole foods just blocks away. An odd woman owns this place and makes you feel unwelcome.

Upon entering, you find yourself in smallish bar area, overrun by old beer bottles and a hodgepodge of other beer artifacts (coasters, glasses, magazines, etc.). Walking past the bar area, the place opens up with some more tables, and further back is a covered beer garden area with even more seating. The room behind the bar area has games. I went on a Thursday around 8 PM (happened to be Belgian independence day) and stayed until midnight closing, and it was never crowded or loud.

The beer list is simply uncanny. We're talking bottles from the 1970's, rare stouts and lambics, and it appeared that everything on the menu was actually available. Prices were reasonable, though you can find an expensive listing if you want to. I had a Buffalo Grand Cru (on tap) Black Damnation II, Oerbier Special Reserva from 2002, and a St. Louis Gueze from 1999.

The place is run by a charming old couple, who are friendly to both locals and out of towners like myself. I ordered the 1999 Gueze later in the night and was asked to make another selection because the beer was in the cellar, which was closed, however a few minutes later was told they decided to go the cellar and get it for me any way.

The eccentric bar area, the garden out back, the dictionary-thick beer list, the old couple, the decor, I loved my experience here, even if I only get to go once in my lifetime.

Im a fan of Red Cow. Edina was 1st in the old Blockbusters site always enjoyed my self here and still do. North Loop has a different vibe much more industrial inside warehouse feeling. They have the same great food some different taps, but usually something very good sometimes great. Food and service is spot on brews are great happy hour fantastic, The vibe here on Friday and Saturday is superb park and visit this place then walk around North Loop to the dozen's of others places. Highly recommended

Brasserie Cantillon

Stopping at the Cantillon brewery was a central mission on a recent trip to Brussels and it did not disappoint. The "museum" tour is self guided with look-ins at unique (and old) equipment. Definitely geeked out a bit on the stroll through the barrel room. The staff appeared to be carving up apricots for the next batch of Fou'Foune. At the end of the tour, there were two complimentary "tastings" (choice of gueze, kriek, and rose cambrinus, as well as 18 month lambic straight from the barrel!). The on site list is incredible, about 10-15 different options, including three different Zwanzes. We nursed bottles of Fou'Foune and Lou Pepe Kriek while playing cards in a corner of the drinking area. We were there mid-day on a Monday, and there were very few others there. The take away selection is more limited than on-site consumption, but at VERY reasonable prices, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout.

Usually has a pretty decent selection. Very small and very hot in this place in the summer. I only drink here when the weather is cooler. They could use better beer buyer and buy different beers from some other distributors. Unless you are a regular you might get sub par service.

Not a bad selection of beer. It is a ghetto Wal mart clientele who mostly shop there. I asked the assistant manager Jesus about some beers and he was clueless. I don't know where they get these dull, slow minded people who don't really care about beer. I only shop here if I'm looking for something everyone else has.

Overall pretty good selection. They do however hide beers for their friends and buddies instead of giving to the customer who asks for the beer and is happy and willing to pay. Just make friends with the annoying beer kid gatekeeper Dale or you will not be getting any rare beers.

The Tennessee st. Location is now closed but the brewery is open at railroad square. The best brewery in north Florida. They do everything right. Always solid beers and never a disgusting infected beer on tap. They truly care about craft and our dedicated to perfecting each and every beer. I wish every brewery had this same passion and craft.

Excellent brew pub. Always a great selection of beers, brewed just for drinking at the brewery as well as a changing list of guest brewers always local and very often rare finds. Bar game fun throughout the place with a top notch food menu offered by the hole in the wall to their neighbors Fritzi. Great for beer geeks and party people alike a rare mix these days.

One of the best bottle shops if not the best in Tallahassee. Owner cares a lot about craft beer and they always have something to buy for a true craft beer enthusiast. Wish they had a bigger location and they would dominate the beer scene in Tallahassee.

Good group of people running this place and they care about craft beer in Tallahassee.

There is always something new and exciting on tap and they focus plenty on several brewery related events.

Pretty cool place and honestly the location might be the only thing keeping it in business. The beers are mostly infected, too warm, under carbonated or just don't taste that great.

It is a shame they serve the beers they do instead of pouring these infected beers down the drain. Tallahassee deserves better and most people here must not care about great beer and this brewery is just not up to par.

I hope they get better for everyone's sake.

What good can I say about this place? Rude owner who knows nothing about beer. I think the people who work here drink Busch. Sketchy greasy guy behind the counter who just looks like he wants meth.

Let's talk about the beer. Pretty good selection of old out of date beers if that's what you like. If you buy beer here better make sure it's a beer that's better with age.

Pretty much like any Total Wine I have been to, other than there is a nice walk in humidor for those interested.

Singles section was a little bare and dated. Solid stock overall, and no problem finding any local beers (other than limited Funky Buddha maybe) Probably the best selection around Madeira Beach and Treasure Island, and easy to get to.

The beers were all solid to very good. Can't say the same for some of the customer service. I liked the 5 oz snifter options. Would be nice to have some bottled or canned stuff for carry out, and maybe a flight board. Definitely worth stopping for.

Stopped by for lunch. Place is modern and clean. Seemed to have a tourist vibe at lunch with a few business people in between. Decent selection of five taps with Abita, Bells, and some other breweries being represented. Nice selection of cans and bottles--perhaps 30 offerings with the focus being on local brews. Was pleasantly surprised with all of the variety. Food is top notch as well. Had the bbq ribs and gumbo and both were fantastic. Prices seemed reasonable for the area. Would highly recommend stopping by if in the area.

Carousel Bar

in New Orleans, Louisiana

3.83/5  rDev 0% | Avg: 3.83
vibe: 5 | quality: 3.5 | service: 4.5 | selection: 3

The carousel bar is one of the coolest places that I have ever had a drink. That said I would not describe this as a beer bar. They do have I believe six or more taps. I know Abita Blueberry and Stella were there as well as at least one macro beer. The bar is in the center of a carousel that rotates around it. The carousel moves at a slow pace. I believe one full rotation took me about ten minutes. There is a lounge style area around the bar as well. The place is famous for Sazeracs and other mixed drinks and is supposedly haunted. Makes for a great drinking atmosphere, but maybe not the best pure beer bar.

They had almost 20 beers on tap and offered flight paddles of 4. Nice digital draft list on 2 huge tvs. Available bottles and cans to go. No food, but I believe you can bring anything in. The whole tap room is very well done, but the outdoor area is very nice. Plenty of tables, fenced in area for kids to run around, giant jenga and corn hole boards, and they have movies on certain nights.
