Look: deep dark brown. Head looks like a decadent mocha bubble bath! Huge, messy, clingy lacing.
Smell: creamy, sweet vanilla. Hints o coffee if that coffee was loaded with cream.
Taste: more coffee in the taste, hints of bitter. Drier than the nose.

Pours a pitch black color. 3 finger brown, and very fluffy looking head. Head retention is amazing for the ABV. There's really some nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is a nice mix of malts, coffee and a hint of vanilla.
Taste - you get a hit of vanilla up front that mixes with the coffee. There's a nice malty sweetness on the backside.
This is one thick, creamy, rich, full bodied beer. The beer clings to my throat as it goes down. It is also very smooth, and doesn't drink like an 11.2% beer.
Solid stout, and I'd love to try this beer again someday.

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros. Canned 5/13/19.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost black with a fat mocha head that fades to leave sticky lacing and a thin blanket.

S - Big aromas of chocolate fudge and burnt coffee. Flashes of vanilla, light cardamom. Decent tinny metallic notes.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of slightly sweet chocolate, flashes of creamy vanilla, nice cinnamon and cardamom. Light fluffy notes, nougat, flashes of good bitterness as well.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, fluffy nougat.

O - Overall this was a solid enough imperial stout. Good chocolate and vanilla. Quite nice.

22oz. bottle dated 05/22/17

Pours black with a dense creamy tan brown foam head. Smells like a beautiful rich meld of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, cardamom, molasses, and oak, with underlying notes of dark brown sugar, dark toasted bread, slight cinnamon sweet spice, some dark fruits, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like a rich Armenian coffee, balanced with big notes of dark chocolate, dark coffee, cardamom, creamy vanilla, molasses, oak, dark fruit, brown sugar, dark toasted bread, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium-full bodied, creamy smooth with moderate low carbonation. Overall a really great Armenian-style coffee imperial stout aged on oak with coffee, molasses, cardamom, and vanilla.
