La Souche

Wow this place is smaller than expect and packed to the gills on a Thursday night! Beats are bumping, laughter all around, and it transferred to the employees, very upbeat and friendly. Lots of different styles on tap, plus collabs and guest taps, even some ciders. The only issue is the beer is not great. BA options are novice, and the simpler styles have areas that could be refined. An upstart that has heart but needs some time

My wife and I visited the Stoneham location on 1-24-20 after hiking in Jacques Cartier National Parc. We were welcomed with friendly service despite the fact that we don't speak any French. We had Poutine and salad for lunch and both were very good. Our drinks and food were delivered in a very timely fashion. The beer variety available was adequate. I enjoyed the Double IPA Limoiloise. My wife thought her Imperial Stout "La Derive" was "OK". We enjoyed the atmosphere as the place was about 75% full with a lunch crowd. The location is convenient just off the main highway returning from the Parc. They have cans available to go as well.
