Greeted at the door - that was unexpected! Very cool shop - extremely neat and clean. The beer selection is not huge, but it is very well-curated with a nice, varied mix of products. Mixed single selection was pretty generous, and prices were in line with other stores in RI or slightly better - a pleasant surprise given the generally up-scale feel of the store. Certainly more focused on the grape side of the equation, but overall a pleasant experience. Staff well-trained, attentive when needed, and knowledgeable of the products they carry. Far off the beaten path for me personally, but highly recommend stopping in when you are in the area.

This store is very cool. When you walk in there is so much to select from I felt like a kid in a candy store. The prices are very low and the quality of products is crazy good. There are wines that blew me away. I also asked for a Bourbon Barrel aged beer and the next week I came in and they had ordered it for me and keep it stocked on the shelf. I even saw them carry out bags for the lady in front of me. Every member of staff is well educated on all of their products. I will be shopping here and only here from now on!

Apon entering Grapes and Grains I was surpised to be greeted as I was walking in by both the General Manager and his awesome-ly bearded employee, rare to find in liquors stores I've been to in the past. As I was looking at the beer selection or the Wall of Beer as I like to think.(the left side of the store is all beer so it fits the name) The Mix-a-Six selection was a bit intimidating but Chris(the bearded employee) had great knowledge of the beers and ensured that I would enjoyed Goose Island Matilda.(Which I did the brett in it was awesome) Checking out the wine selection was really great too the GM Peter knows his wines quite well. I was surpised to see in their reserve room some great beer along with liquor and wine. Overall being that this store just open in what was used to be a dry town really changed the game that is running a liquor store. Great Job!

I went here on a whim after hearing about Barrington's newly gained liquor license. I was definitely pleased with the experience. It was a bit out of the way being in Providence but it was worth the trip.

Definitely a wine store first and foremost, but the beer selection isn't disappointing. They have 7 or 8 reach in coolers full of 6 packs. Out of these, almost all are craft beer, with only one or two doors for the Macro commercial breweries. I was also happy to see they had mix-a-six with a 10% discount. I would say they have a strong 50 different bombers, sakes included, as well as one door in the cooler dedicated to single 12 oz. bottles.

The staff seemed pretty knowledgable and were willing to special order something if they could get their hands on it. Not a huge location, definitely not as big as Wine and More, but a bit more specialty oriented.

I'm glad I made the trek out to Barrington and I'll be checking back again to see what new product they have.

Grapes & Grains is a brand new store that I heard about through my university, Johnson and Wales.

I made the trek down to Barrington just to give it a shot, as I am an avid craft beer lover. This is truly a paradise for beer lovers.

The staff does everything in their power to keep a large selection in the space that they have. They have a lot of really cool beers, including a few from Ommegang (always hard to find) and they offer mix a six packs at 10% off. This stock is always rotating and there is always something new to try.

For very serious beer lovers, they even have a reserve room, which one would assume is reserved for wine, but when you walk in you find a few beers including Saison Dupont, Firestone 2012 barleywine and even the elusive Deus Belgian Pale. You'll find a few macro lagers here if that suits your needs for the day, but they are sure to pack their coolers and shelves full of lesser known craft beer and bigger companies like Smuttynose and Sierra Nevada rather than Anheuser Busch products. Truly a site you must visit if you love beer. They even have a beer called Kelpie that is made by smoking kelp under the beer grains (from what I understand from the associate who told me).

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff who will help you discover something new every time.

I was blown away by the selection, atmosphere, and level of service. Immediately upon entering I was greeted by an employee who was very knowledgeable about not only beer, but wine, and spirits.

Grapes & Grains has over 100 different beers for their mix and match 6 pack. The beers and sake's range from 11.2 oz all the way to 750's that can be incorporated in.

To make things better, Grapes & Grains offers a 10% discount for every mix and match 6 pack!

Their beer coolers are arranged by style and go in order from lightest to heaviest. It is very user-freindly.

Any beer lover needs to at the very least visit this shop. You will be pleasantly surprised. The east bay of RI has NO comporable beer selection!
