Corner gas station and convenience shop. With a mess of beer tossed in.

Watch out for dusty, old bottles, out of date tall cans, high prices and zero service from the dude behind the counter. Beers in several smaller cooler units and a few shelving units.

Would be a lot better if the stock moved and was more realistically priced. Not impressed with this operation.

Not much to add what most already know. A surprising little grocery store overwhelmingly dominated by craft beer options. Lots of bottles and cans and they have many harder to get brews. As I was there they got in KBS and I was able to walk away with a bottle.

The cashier enjoyed talking beer and that's always appreciated.

There are lots of other local craft goodies to buy here like almond milk, chocolate and kombucha, so you can easily walk away spending a small fortune.

One of the better selections in the city for a small, convenience store. You will not find a nicer store owner than Sam in the world. He also drive to breweries around the state and bring back beers not distributed to the city.

East 1st Grocery is a surprise to any beer lover. The moment you enter the store you will realize that this is more than just a Convenience Store but a Beer mecca. You will experience a fantastic bottle selection. Sam who owns the store always proves to help educate me in my bottle selections and I love the variety, selection and volume this store possesses. If you have any aptitude for Beer do yourself a favor and visit this store in ATX.

Crazy place for a bottle shop but that is Austin I guess. Vibe is kinda weird, it being a gas station after all but I got over it quick when I found the beer. Selection is awesome with tons of locals and some rarer nationals being represented. Quality was solid as well, nothing super old that I could find. Service was quite nice as well. I met the owner, who was talking to a local beer rep, and we talked about beer for awhile. Overall a great option that I will, and have, return to in the future.

Excellent bottle shop in East Austin. There's a very good selection of craft beer (and BMC beers for your non-craft friends). They receive most of the local Austin releases (limited and standards), and many limited releases from craft brewers from across the US. There are also some Italian, German, Belgian, and New Zealand imports (probably some other countries, too) . The prices are very good for a convenience store / bottle shop. They can't compete prices with the giant stores (Specs, HEB), but the prices are very close. If you're looking for a new limited beer in East Austin, this is probably the best source you will find.

Beyond the beer, there is a nice selection of wine and ciders. They carry many local products such as kombucha tea, h'ordeuvres, local coffee, sweets and treats, and ice cream. It's a great Austin convenience store. They support and sell a lot of local products. The employees of the store are extremely friendly.

This store is a definite visit if you find yourself in the east side of Austin.
