Wilmington's craft beer scene has really blown up in recent years and Wilmington Brewing is definitely at the top of the heap! The brewery is up the road from UNCW, not as exciting or interesting a location as say down on the water front, but it's a cool older building that's easy to find and comfortable to hang out in. The taproom is pretty small. Bartenders are super helpful answering questions and telling you about the tap choices. They make some great beer here. The vibe here is enhanced by an old record player spinning vinyl, nice touch!
One thing they could improve on is the presentation of the pours. They are currently pouring into clear plastic solo cups. Adding real glasses would be nice. Otherwise, you can leave with anything on tap in a crowler and they usually have something canned to sell also.

Went with some family while in town. Small taproom attached to a homebrewing store. 12 things on tap. Had a taste of all of them. Some really good. Most average. IPAs are their schtick, it seems. Those were the best and I'd had some IPAs from them in crowlers and enjoyed them. People were nice. Pet friendly. They just started distro'ing kegs the week before, so we hopped around back and chatted with a couple guys as they were filling kegs. Overall, probably the best brewery in Wilmington.

Great place located on the side of their homebrew store. Long, straight bar in front of you when you walk in, with some table seating along the window front and to your left. They have a turntable cranking out some pretty sweet vinyl. The staff is great; laid back, friendly, and knowledgeable. They had 7 beers on-tap while we visited, and plenty of swag. They do growler fills, and on Fridays they have limited release casks. Awesome, laid back atmosphere. Worth a visit.

Very friendly neighborhood brewery. A great place to go for a pint or a growler fill. Attached to a killer homebrew store (Wilmington Homebrew Supply). I have never not been welcomed or had anything but a great time there.

What an awesome place! It's everything beer and more. Whether you're just looking to plop down and have a few beers with people who'll quickly become friends or you're looking for all the supplies to make your own delicious beer, this is the place for you.
Michelle and John are awesome people and so friendly. As soon as I stepped foot in the place they made me feel right at home. Every time I went to stock up on my homebrew supplies, I'd sit down, have a beer or two and chat away with whoever happened to be sitting around the small bar.
Awesome times and one of the few places in Wilmington that I'm going to miss since I've moved.

Great place to visit if your in the area. The crew is very knowledgeable, and very helpful on the how and what of home brewing. Can't say enough good things about this place!!! O, and they do a tasting on Friday evenings, and home brewing instruction on Saturdays.

Mostly a homebrew supply store, with a few beers on tap and bottles available for sale in their cooler. Beer selection is pretty good, but most customers come here to talk beer, not just to drink it. Perhaps the best homebrew supply shop in the state! Great prices, and a great selection for both beginners and advanced all-grain homebrewers. Owners are knowledgeable and easy to talk to. The first time I called, Michelle answered the phone, which was very reassuring, being an aspiring female homebrewer myself at the time. The only downside is that I can never get in & out of the shop quickly because I always end up staying for at least 30 minutes talking beer or homebrewing either with the owners or other customers in the shop.
