Little small place in an industrial park. The taproom is basically as large as maybe 2 bedrooms in my house but, they have live entertainment. Gotta dig the vibes.

The location is unconventional (it's in a sort of industrial strip mall kind of place), but once inside, it's a very inviting and comfortable place. They had a ton of beers to choose from and the two that I tasted were very good. The owner (I think it was the owner) was awesome.

Really cool place. Tucked away in an industrial strip, lots of big beers, in taste and %. If your staying for more than 2 or 3, be ready to call uber.
A real hidden gem of South Chicago suburbs.

Medium sized taproom seats about 50 and the tiny patio seats 6 or so. Decor is a great collection of breweriana including probably 150 growlers from past and current breweries, most of which I'm sure don't even sell growlers anymore.
Large screen TV for your favorite team and good music.
Only in-house beer for sale with 12 currently available. I enjoyed the marzen "Ludwig says 'I do.'".
Service was fantastic.

A bit hidden smaller pub, but worth going to. I say a very "Down to Earth" pub with a friendly barkeeper and nice tasty strong ales. I tried 5 tasters and all were consistently good. Nice dog to greet us. I will go again.

How can ya say enough about a guy just doing his thing. I like the fact that this place is furnished with "Oh look at what I found".

Never had anything memorable there in a few visits there. I couldn't even recall the names of anything they make, but the dubbel I had was flavorless along with many of the samples I had.

The bartender was awesome. When I told him it was my first visit he started pouring me samples of just about everything until I decided what to start with. All the beer was top notch as well.

This is a brewery in progress. I live in Lansing and try to visit every few months. Everytime I go there it seems that they have raised their product (wasn't too impressed early on). While they don't have any real food available, they have plenty of pretzels and great conversation available.
This is a great place to visit and one of the reasons I love the craft beer movement.

One Trick Pony is truly a hidden gem in the south suburbs.
Really there are few like it, it reminded me of the first time visiting Jolly Pumpkin in Dexter and Dark Horse in Marshall years ago. Effortlessly original and DIY.
Dave was a delight to meet and talk/listen to. This guy had stories for days, and happened to be the co-owner of the brewery. He only works there every day, so you'll likely meet him if you go. Quick with both samples and jokes, this guy was great.
The beer selection was solid too, about 8 house drafts and a couple from Transient.
Everything I tried was good quality. Usually there's a few clunkers at a brewpub, but not here. They fill outside growlers too, unlike FFF nearby.
The vibe was unique and cozy, the walls displayed a collection of old Chicago bottles and newer growlers, framed maps and various posters, breweriana, and ephemera. A rack of books had the latest Mash Tun magazine and a hardcover book about horror movies from 1984. Awesome.

Simple tasting room, relaxed atmosphere, free samples, Excellent beers (mainly on the full flavor side), Very friendly staff and customers who know their beers. No food but you welcome to order in or bring your own, CASH ONLY, Most beers are $5.00/ 20 oz. imperial pint or $2.50 for a half pint. free pretzels. Great place, my favorite by far.
