On tap at the Genesee Brewhouse in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a crystal clear light amber, with a small head, and a good amount of sticky lacing.

This smells line snappy crisp hops, nice grassiness, with a nice biscuity and slightly caramelly malt backbone. This smells real good.

This is the best American made pilsner I've ever had, and possibly the best overall pilsner I've ever had. This is probably due to the fact that I'm having this fresher than any European example I could have here. This is a SMaSH pilsner, made with just Weyermann pils malt and Hallertau Hersbrucker hops. This is a testament to how well it's constructed, because there's such a huge depth of flavor for the minimal ingredients. There's a deep toasty and spicily bready malt backbone, biscuity and sharp, with just a hint of caramel. The malt backbone is the star here, but the hop profile is also nice, with a wonderful clean bitterness, grassy and *just* slightly floral. It all works quite well together. This is perfectly attenuated, essentially no extra sweetness.

This is unbelievably drinkable, with a very crisp and clean mouthfeel, and a good snap of carbonation.

*side note: This paired quite well with a bratwurst.

This honestly bowled me over with how good it was. It's crazy that one of my longest reviews is about a local pilsner, but this is absolutely outstanding. Dean Jones and the Genesee Brewhouse should be proud of themselves.

Genesee Brew House German Pilsner - Genesee Brew House. Poured from a growler nicholas2121 has brought back during his travels in Rochester, this beer has got a 2 finger thick white head, lateral lacing, and a clear karat golden body. NICE!

The taste is distinctly pilsner. What I'm saying, fellow BA's, is that they've hit the nail on the head!

Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. Nothing is lingering here.

Overall a 4.25 is given to Genesee Brew House German Pilsner - Genesee Brew House. As with all of the brewery-only and regionally distributed Genesee, beverages he has drove back.
