Had to stop in as a Pittsburgh fan and lover of the city. I was very impressed with the quality of the food. The black n blue burger was definitely worth getting. My side of sweet potato tots was the greatest sweet potato I have ever had, by far! If you're a fan of sweet potatoes, they are a must get!

More importantly, I got a Bell's Two Hearted Ale to drink with my meal. This was an exceptional beer as expected. The only problem was that it was served in a frosted mug. I did not expect the beer to be served in the proper glassware like at a craft beer bar, so I was okay with this.

Overall, this was an exceptional dining/drinking experience and I will come back again.

Jerome Bettis' is a fun place to get to if you're in PGH. Has a fun atmosphere, lots of tvs (a lot of the booths even have private tvs in them). Usually pretty crowded especially around football games. Bathroom has a one-way wall past the urinals so you can watch the other patrons as you relieve yourself.

Food quality and selection is good, mix of pub food, chain grub, and PGH favorites, but nothing too exciting. Quality is good, but not quite as good as it should be for the price. Nice beer selection. A fun place to go to, but plenty of better places around PGH.

The family and I stopped in for a bite of lunch before catching a Pirate game during father’s day weekend. The atmosphere was one that seemed fairly traditional of a sports bar. Wall mounted flat panel tvs and smaller personal tvs build-in at some of the booths. We ended up sitting at a table that had a view of the river and one of the countless bridges in the city (have no idea which one it was).

The men’s restroom was interesting with 2-way glass that offered a view to the patrons occupying the restaurant entrance - rather awkward, but interesting. Also low lighting made it difficult to tell if the restrooms were even clean; something I often do just to help gage the cleanliness of the kitchen. If the restrooms are clean, kitchen usually is.

The service was prompt and thorough. Food arrived quickly and correctly. All the staff was very accommodating. They made sure the little one’s food came out first as we have kids. They also had a place for stroller parking at the side entrance. I ordered the daily burger which changes each day, with a side of sweet potato fries.

The menu was very typical of a sports bar and seemed to have a good mix of pub grub. The beer selection was where I was impressed. There were a few selections from the Penn Brewery, Pittsburgh Brewing (IC Light of course), Church Brew Works and a host of others from other areas. I tried to stick with the locals just because I figured they would be the freshest offerings.

The bill came to over $60.00, and that was without any appetizer or desert. The prices are a little higher than other similar establishments in the area, but I suppose it’s probably the whole branding theme with Jerome Bettis that inflates the prices.

Overall this was a good experience. I can’t say I would go back anytime soon, but I would like to check out the place during a Steelers home game. I’m sure that would be a completely different ballgame.

What atmosphere this place has, especially when the Steelers are home. Lot of energy.

The food was great. nice portions, good selelction and prices.

The beers on tap and bottle was fantastic.

Favorite the night I went was Arogant Bastard.

If you're in town, make sure you drop in.
