This iteration of Dialed In is a fresh, juicy Double IPA intensively dry hopped with Galaxy and Vic Secret. Pouring a vibrant, hazy gold; aromas of grape, lemon, and light melon waft from the glass. Pineapple, and stone fruit balance with a vinous notes from the mid-fermentation addition of Moscato juice. Soft and creamy with moderate bitterness; Medium-Light bodied with a crisp, dry finish.

MALT: Pilsner, C-15, Flaked Wheat, Dextrine

HOPS: Galaxy, Vic Secret

While I'm not the biggest fan of Trillium, a friend of mine obtained this can about a month and a half ago and I couldn't pass up to chance to have another variant of Dialed In. The Moscato juice was quite pronounced here as this almost came across like white wine with some tropical pith thrown in for good measure as this was an Imperial IPA on par with what's coming out of New England these days.

This poured a murky melon with a pleasing head to it that wasn't too big or small as it settled down nicely. Amazingly, very little lacing was left behind with just a few spots randomly scattered down the bottom two thirds of my pint glass. Tons of melon, white grape, tropical fruit, and murky hops in the nose as the taste was just as turbid, dry, and inviting without any overt burn to it. Lots of wheat and oats gave this the body it needed Grape skin, tangy grapefruit, melon and papaya rind, and soft honey slickness emerged once this warmed up as there was a lot to the as the hops and malt were balanced nicely with nothing seeming out of place. Some crystalline sugar, deep forest, and booze entered the fray in the aftertaste as there was quite a bit of heft to it.

The wine barrel-like wood and subtle muskiness were enough to enhance this and remind me that this wasn't quite like anything that Trillium had ever put out before. Dated 6/10 on the bottom of the can, there wasn't any sediment to this as this felt overripe and green from the first sip to the last drop. While this might be a bit dry for some, I enjoyed this and the jack fruit and prickly pear feelings that were this beer's undertone, like a nuance wine. Another sold offering from Trillium that had me wanting the rest of the variants in this series!
