Rue Anemone was brewed in December 2019. Undergoing primary fermentation with our Native New England Mixed Culture, it was aged for nine months in an oak foeder before enjoying a period of bottle conditioning. This beautifully golden American Wild Ale offers gentle aromas of freshly zested valencia orange, lightly toasted biscuit, and a gentle thyme-like herbaceousness. Moderately dry, with soft and refreshing acidity, Rue Anemone is endlessly drinkable.

Poured from a 11.2 oz bottle into a Teku glass - dated Feb 2021. Translucent golden in color, lively effervescent. Scents of Brett, lemon zest, stone fruit. Get lots of that Brett funk taste, peach, apricot, a touch of oak. Light and thin mouthfeel. Not too dry. Refreshing beer - not the best wild ale, but it’s a solid one and pretty affordable compared to some of the other bottles from Trillium.

11.2oz. bottle into a Brookly Brewery snifter.
Great goldenrod color with excellent head, lace, and legs. Nose is lemon zest, coriander, peppercorn, Brett, dandelion, and rose petals. NIcely aromatic. JUst appetizing in general. Beer opens lemon zest, orange peel. Peppery with floral notes in the middle. Grassy with more lemon zest at the finish. Fantastic balance. Body is light with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively on the palate and goes down crisp, foamy, and with a longer, lingering finish.
This beer's great. It demonstrates qhat balance and subtlety is truly capable of.

330ml bottle dated 02/12/2021
Pours a gorgeous mostly clear, slightly hazy, translucent yellow gold color with a big creamy white foam head that retains well with decent lacing. Smells wonderful, mild apple cider vinegar, wildflowers, sweet floral orange citrus zest, tea leaf notes, toasty biscuity malts, touch of vanilla, straw, hints of thyme, fresh earthy herbs, real beautiful and delicate, aromas of moderate bold strength, balanced and refreshing. Tastes pretty tart, dry, lightly funky, refreshing and crisp with notes of lime, lemony citrus zest, herbal tea, thyme, fresh earthy herbs, straw, toasty hay, biscuity malts, oak, vanilla, hint of coconut, tart apple, vinous grape, finishing fairly dry with a touch of hop bitterness. Feels lighter medium bodied, creamy smooth, crisp with moderate high carbonation. Overall a really nice American wild ale.
