I visited Peddler for the first time on Satuday, and I think the place is great. The service was good and very knowledgeable (I'm pretty sure I was being served by the brewer) and the atmosphere is great. It's a big airy space with more than a dozen taps plus a guest cider, and the beers I had were quite good. Although I didn't get to try them, it looked they had a couple of outside-the-box type of offerings, like a smoked saison. I'll definitely be returning to check out some more of these interesting-looking beers.

I like Peddler Brewing though I think it gets overshadowed, and not unfairly, by other neighborhood pubs such as Ruebens and Stoup. However, Peddler has a solid lineup of good if not great beers. Since they are within walking distance of Ruebens it's worth hitting up both if anything for comparison purposes.

I thouroughly enjoyed the Berliner Weisse that doesn't appear to be on the current list. It was a refreshing change after drinking 6%+ porters all morning. I applaud Peddler for offering some nice, sessionable beer.

Great atmosphere, great couple that owns/runs the place. Ballard is probably one of the most inviting neighborhoods in the country, and Peddler is a shining example of that. The beer was great, it is obvious that they have spent a lot of time refining their product. The design features around the tasting room is neat to see as well. About the beer. We tried a few different varieties, the Kolsch was obviously their most popular beer, but their Caramel ESB and the Stage 22 stout tasted like it had a bit more refinement in their recipe and were the stand out for me. It could just be my pallet/preference though, and really you can't go wrong with any of the beers they have there.
Overall, it was a great experience and a great place to visit when you are in Seattle. Being from LA, I would kill to have a place like this close by.
