Nice staff. Good variety of beer styles on tap. Food looks great and has a good variety as well. The space is nice and open with a patio too. Really good spot.

Nice place for a brew and a bite! The vibe is eh as it’s in a strip mall and feels like an eatery more than a brewery. I saw no brewing equipment. Some of the food options were really good. The beer left me wanting.

Had a few beers during happy hour while visiting the area: Simcoe Slice, Batch 15, Falcon Punch - all excellent IPAs. Happy hour food items were definitely better than average as well.

Just realized I hadn't done a review of this place. While the atmosphere is basically attractive, the acoustics make it a hard place to enjoy. It's a big, rectangular room, with high ceilings, so the sounds get real bouncy, especially when it's busy. Which is often, to their credit. I generally sit at the bar and get good service, but the few times I've sat at tables, service has varied. It's never been terrible, just wildly inconsistent. I generally like the local art they display, which isn't always the case. Especially in a college town, with a lot of art students.

The beers are generally pretty good these days. Some of the early batches were quite rough, but now I find the beers flavorful and tasty. They brew a nice variety of styles, and there's generally something new and interesting on tap. All of Aslan's brews are 100% organic.

The food is pretty good, although a bit pricey for town, and on some dishes, portions are a bit small. The kitchen is fairly creative, but sometimes gets a bit overly fussy with things. Overall, Aslan is a positive presence on the Bellingham beer scene. Worth checking out when you're in the area.

Solid spot making up the good scene developing in Bellingham. Had a great kale salad with yams and pork; enjoyed 9oz of their brown ale and Dawn Patrol, and 16 of the Schwei-something Pale Ale. Good scene on a Sunday afternoon - crowded outside but snagged one of the picnic tables. They were out of the stout and an IPA but decent selection on hand. Cooler filled with Batch 15 (which is outstanding) and Dawn Patrol (which is OK) behind the counter. Nice building, great location, very engaging staff.

Came here with a friend - who was introducing me to his favorite local brewery/brewpub during my visit to Bellingham. This is a really nice space - high ceilings and exposed Brewery equipment out back gives this a cool industrial feel. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Their beers are varied and we'll made. Great place to stop

Happened upon here last week with my family for lunch. What a find in bellingham. Very airy and bright and family-friendly. They even had a coloring menu for my 2 yr old. I was in the mood for an ipa and boy did they deliver with that batch 15. Probably the best ipa I've had since moving to the PNW. The food is awesome too. Haven't had such a good combo of food and beer at a brewery since (my formerly local) Russian River brewpub. The waitress was very friendly and we felt well attended to. Prices are not too bad either. Bill with 3 meals, beers, and take home growler and 6 pack was around $60. Love this place

I visited Aslan on a trip to Bellingham last week and I really enjoyed the place. It's big and airy, and although I like a pubby/basement atmosphere in my breweries it was still pretty cool. They have a huge number of taps available, way more than most craft breweries, and choices included a (virtually) NA beer, a craft root beer and a ginger ale along with 12-15 beers.

Many of the beers were rather unusual; their ginger pale and the cucumber lager were quite interesting. I would say it's definitely worth coming here if you like weird stuff; I wouldn't be surprised if they had this type of experimental stuff on all the time. The bartenders were quite knowledgeable about the beers, and service was prompt despite being quite busy (although I was sitting at the bar, so maybe that's to be expected).

Aslan has been doing a really good job of improving on just about all their beers. Some are excellent, and others are along the lines of very good. "Batch 15" is a fantastic IPA.

The tap room/eatery is a nicely done, wide open space with lots of seating. It's usually pretty packed, but finding a place to sit and have a conversation over a good beer and meal, is not hard to come by (at least when I've been). The Owners are very friendly, and have been striving to make better and better brews. If you have children, you can also bring them in.

Overall, it's a pretty solid brewpub, and I'll always be a patron when in the area!

A nice family friendly place with good food and average beer. To their credit, they make organic beers without the normal markup. In fact, you can get a pint during happy hours for $3.50 and happy hour includes lunch hours. However, I have to wonder about their direction. My wife loved the ginger rye beer but I felt it had way too much ginger (her opinion is you cannot have enough ginger). Also, my son likes to try different root beer the same way I do beer and he hated it. I thought it couldn't be that bad but then I tried it. It was like sucking on bark. The service was very friendly and prompt and their menu has a nice variety of food. I had the NW red which had some nonsense about strawberry and cherry notes as if that was what made it red but was still an average beer. The dawn patrol was a little better with some nice tropical notes to it. It seems to be a good place to have a snack off their happy hour menu so I'll try it again sometime.

Wanted to update my score with a written review, after having visited numerous times.

Vibe — It is a cool looking space from the outside and inside, though it is a bit disjointed inside. The host station is never staffed, so its always seat yourself, which is fine and has never been a problem, just seems like a waste of space. The kitchen is semi-open and tucked back in the corner, the taps are set up in front of the big glass wall to the brewery, you can see some of the tanks, and can sometimes see folks milling around in the brewery. There is some clear admin/office space located on the second floor inside the brewery. The seating is a mix of small low top tables and huge high top tables, kind of a hodgepodge of seating. Overall the inside is good, my one gripe is the terrible acoustics in the space, it is concrete, upon concrete, upon concrete, upon glass, upon concrete, it is incredibly loud no matter what time of day you visit. I appreciate the industrial vibe, but functionality is lacking.

Quality — Quality has always been good to great, sans the points made above, though I'm not sure how much of that is impacted by the brewery, as much as it is faulted by the building itself. Beer has always been well made, some have been better than others, but for the most part there have been more good beers than bad beers. Still going through some growing pains and have a ways to go, but the passion is there.

Service — Service has been good for the most part, haven't had a bad experience. Have just found it odd that only the females work the floor, while only the males pour beers. Not sure if that's just coincidence or if its a planned effort. Either way, they have always been attentive, informative, and professional.

Selection — The core beers are always on, some of the seasonal beers and one-offs seem to disappear rather quickly and are of truly varied quality.

Food — Food is good, the menu is limited but the food always comes out quick and is well made, not much else to say on that front.

Overall — It is a cool space with good food and good beer, the acoustics are bad and the quality of beer is inconsistent at best, but overall its worth checking out. They will only continue to grow in the upcoming years, their beers have been getting substantially better over time.

Well they're just starting out so hopefully things get better, but lets be honest about the fact that the beer is not good. The one bright spot may be the disco lemonade. It isn't the best beer, but it's pretty good and shows sign that they may be getting on the right track. The other problem I would comment on is the general pompousness of the staff which definitely stems from the owner. My advice for them would be to find some humility and educate themselves in brewing and service because I don't think their success will last long if they don't.

The atmosphere was great. Bright, open, and airy with a nice projection TV. The service was pretty good, but it appeared the waitresses needed more help. The selection of beer and food was decent. The beer could use some tweaking and the food offerings could definitely be beefed up...literally. The value for the food wasn't there. $12-$13 bucks for a Bison burger doesn't cut it, especially if the patty is less than a quarter pound. Hopefully Aslan can make some changes to increase value. Otherwise, you are paying dearly for the atmosphere. I may stop in for special occasions, but not regularly.
