It's an ok place. Beer is about average, nothing special. Some easy drinking fare that is enjoyable in the atmosphere. Cool place to hang out, with the outdoor seating area thought the location isn't great, given the proximity to the highway/main street interchange. Not much parking. They don't have food, but they do rotate various food trucks so there is different fare, depending on what day you go.

Living in Delray Beach I was looking forward to having a local brewery. I had really high hopes for Saltwater. Early on their beer was just average and I chalked it up to being new and needing time to "dial in" their brewing. Well, it's been a couple years and I've been to the brewery 5-6 times and I have to say there's been no improvement. One time I had a triple that was good but that's about it. The atmosphere is pretty cool with the beach/sea theme in a nice tap room. The service is good but with so many great brewery options in South Florida there is no reason to drink average beer.

Saltwater is a pretty cool spot to hang out, I've had a good time going there most times, but there are some issues. First problem is the parking, this location only has about 10 real parking spots. If you arrive and all the spots are filled you must park on the grass on the side of the road and that area usually fills up and the rest of the adjacent lots are tow zones. The beer at Saltwater is ok, nothing special, maybe over time they will get better. They also need to do a better job at training their bartenders, some do not know how to pour a beer (lots of foam) and others have no understanding of the beer they are serving (i.e. know the difference between an IPA and a stout). This location has a lot of potential, but they really have to work out some of the kinks.

Beautiful modern wooden roadhouse decor in a refurbished old salvage barn, away from the bustle of downtown Delray Beach. Solid beers, and a rather sizable rotating selection. Unique growler-fill system is interesting to watch. Nice front porch to enjoy some beers in the nice weather. Cool food truck options for food. Super friendly staff. Great spot and easy in and out, right off the freeway.

I visited this facility whilst on vacation and came recommended via google searches. Easy access off Highway, almost drove by it was that close. parking was a problem tho, even tho it wasn't busy inside. Not kid friendly. Not sure on pets but didn't see any...I doubt it though due to wood floors. Plenty of room when I went in, late afternoon PM. Service was good, facility was clean. Got my brews quick and able to strike up a conversation with the staff easy enough. Clean bathrooms on hallway off to the side. This is a strictly facility rating only as some other reviews seemed to mention ales reviews also which reflected poorly on the overall facility review. Small but adequate merchandise counter. Nice relaxing ambiance overall. No hot food, but served crisps/chips from what I recall. Hope this helps. Cheers.

This is a fun place. They have tasting where you can get 5 or 10 beers of you choice and taste all day long. There is no food whatsoever.
The only problems...
1. Service is VERY slow. The guys that work there are super nice and they strike up long conversations with everyone -- so if you are waiting, it could be 15 minutes before you are helped.
2. So far, I've tried about 12 of their beers, and quite frankly, they are just not great. I'm an IPA guy and the IPAs at SaltWater Brewery may be bitter, but are weak and have no character. No flavor. You get the bitterness, but that's all.
Overall, I wish the beer was good, because other than the slow service, it's a fun place to hang out and the people that frequent the place are really cool also. You can sit inside or outside. Bring your own food because there's none there.
Purchase in 32 oz growlers only. They charge $5 for the refillable growler.

I really like the atmosphere here on a Sunday afternoon. Sunny and active patio area. Drawbacks are the industrial area next to the highway and railroad tracks, but the interior is fresh with a good Florida theme.
Servers were knowledgeable about the product and the origination of the bar. Sat at the bar and all servers were attentive to customers' needs.
The beer still seems to be a work in progress. Although there are a wide variety of options, none are outstanding. If I lived in the area I would be a regular here. A new brewery like this needs support to improve I'll visit again to check on the progress.

Saltwater is improving rapidly in my opinion. They have really improved on their IPAs and the Pale Ale. There have also been a couple of their specialty/seasonal beers that I have liked a lot recently. I think with a little time they will achieve a world-class status.

I am always excited about a new brewery in the area so I had to check this one out. Went there on a Friday and realized that parking was a bit of an issue. It was a Friday night though so somewhat understandable.
You can tell they dropped some coin building this place up. Very nice nautical theme with lots of wood, a saltwater tank, and plenty of fishing references as you might expect. Had a nice patio area with cornhole setup and some picnic table. The only bad part was the view was of train tracks, I-95, and I believe some kind of factory across Atlantic.
Now for the beer. Obviously this is the most important part of a brewery. Between my girlfriend and I we tried the milk stout, IPA, and 2xIPA. Unfortunately we did not finish any of them. The milk stout lacked that creamy mouthfeel you would expect and the IPA's I guess imcomplete is the best word for it. They all had an odd finish that left an unsatisfying taste in your mouth.
I was told the head brewer was accomplished somewhere else and I truly hope he finds his stride at this location. As for now though I would call it a work in progress

The atmosphere was much better than the beer. The brewery is in an old red barn. Tasting room is very nice and the beer garden is impressive. The beers on the other hand are not what I expected. Very bland, no taste and no aroma. It seems like the beer was brewed for the masses(bud, coors and miller drinkers) to try something different. As a craft beer drinker I was very disappointed. I hope they get better. I will try again, but not for awhile.
