I visited Wander while I was wandering around Bellingham yesterday (gee, I wonder if they’ve heard *that* one before?), and I really dug it. It was a nice day, so the patio was beautiful, although there are half a dozen group-sized tables inside as well. Inside has cabin-like accents but is mostly very industrial, as the entire brew operation is right there in the same room. There’s no bar to sit at, but the lady pouring beers was nice.
On my visit, they had 12 of their beers plus a seltzer on tap. Styles included American lager, pilsner, export stout, blackcurrant sour, three hazies and two West Coast IPAs, Belgian blonde, Belgian dubbel, and barrel-aged imperial stout. The beers I had were not groundbreaking, but they were solid, and I’d have no hesitation returning to Wander in the future. They have cans to go, as well, so I grabbed a few of those too.

A tall, single story, modern warehouse type building, with the brewery in the same room as the taproom, out away from downtown. Lacquered picnic benches and wine barrels with plastic stools, make up most of the seating, along with some metal counters with stools. Quite an open atmosphere with some outdoor seating. The beer styles are of the standard craft brew sort. The service is good and is counter ordering. The beers are mostly not good. Of the 5 tried, only Eventide IPA was adequate. Have had a couple of their beers in can that were good, but on tap at the brewery, not so.

Step out of the Seattle-freeze and into Bellingham, where the bartenders and bartendress mimic a more Midwest, polite vibe. Wander is not immune to this. A couple kind bartendresses service up beer, handling any lines quickly and efficiently. Drinking space here is a bit interesting, with picnic tables setup more or less directly in the middle of the brewhouse, with ropes preventing patrons from wandering over into the brewhouse operations. An exterior covering offers shaded seating in open air, albeit, that's not saying much since the interior space opens up via a large, industrial garage door. Seating is a mix of high top seaters and picnic tables. Tap list spans a good array of styles, but most notably, offers up several lower ABV options that differ from the usual plain lager. It makes an easily session-able experience.

This place is 100% chill. They have an outside and inside section, dogs are welcome. The beer is above average, I'm and IPA, Porter, Stout person so my bias is accounted for. The staff is on point. They generally have a food truck to handle any hunger issues. It is a must if you are in or visiting the area.

I bought this beer at a Whole Foods in Bellevue, Wa.....this is the first time tasting this beer, as stout beer goes I would strongly recommend this beer. Some stouts can be a bit bitter tasting, but this doesn't have this issue. Its smooth, earthly a nice carmel coffee undertones rich color make this a must have. Great glass presence or in the can if you prefer.

A neat and quaint little tasting room in an industrial barn. Nice folks and decent beer. Had around ten or twelve taps of varying styles and seating at indoor picnic tables. Will return.

One of my favorite breweries. Quality brews, usually a good selection, and a great atmosphere. Always a good time at Wander.

Wander's taproom feels like a barn, or maybe a warehouse, because that's basically what it is, an industrial warehouse. There are plenty of tables, inside and outside, and the place was crowded on our recent visit, full of folks enjoying the beer. They don't serve food, but food trucks visit, and the pizza truck was quite good.
The beer is the reason you're here. Wander has a good variety of beers. I've had about four, and looked over the list. They don't do everyday ordinary beers. If you're looking for a lineup of pale ale, IPA, hefe, red ale, porter, and stout, you won't find most of those here. They've got Global Mutt, a Baltic Porter, and a rye IPA. They do sours and saisons, and a California Common. In short, you'll see styles and beers here that you won't find anywhere else. The quality of the beers is quite good.
The service is friendly and knowledgeable.
I don't get to Bellingham often, but I'll be back. I thought Wander was more interesting than many of the Seattle breweries I've been to.

This was one of my fave local breweries - right in my 'hood. We've been patrons since the opening. We love the beer, beertenders, location & variety of food trucks. Unfortunately, we will no longer be drinking beers at the brewery. Last week we went inside to chill & watch the March Madness finals & it was anything but chill. There were so many dogs inside...on table benches, barking & the worst - a dog pissed on the floor. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs but how about dogs outside not inside. Such a bummer!

Solid spot making up the good scene developing in Bellingham. Had a growler of their rye IPA to-go and enjoyed 16 oz of Robust Porter Nitro on tap. Samples upon request. Easy going vibe, picnic tables adjacent to the parking lot, cooler of bottles beside the counter, reasonable prices. Straight forward and enjoyable.

Nice place. SoCal style, a brewery in a where-house with a roll-up garage. Combination seating, inside/outside. Quality product. Service is good. They need a couple of guest taps.
Overall- A place I will visit again.

Cool location in an old railway hangar of sorts. Can be a bit difficult to find, and parking can be an issue when busy. Selection is nice, always has the year round beers on-tap, with a handful of one-offs and rotators. Pricing is fair. Food trucks do come and go, but it can be a bit clunky at times getting food. Layout could be greatly improved, but the beers they make are great.

A beautiful American built brewhouse in an old refurbished warehouse. Friendly staff who is actually knowledgeable about the beers they serve. Cool funky live edge tables with beer hall benches. Kid friendly. Food trucks daily. Outdoor seating on the patio when the weather is accommodating. Most importantly, truly unique beers that satisfy. Looking forward to their barrel releases. I could drink here all day and plan to return!

Brewhouse is open and adjoining to the hall. It's a rather industrial environment with reclaimed wooden tables and chairs. There are some picnic tables as well for outdoor seating. Rotating food carts provide some food but one of the days I was there they had Goat Mountain pizza. The smoke from their fire severely hampered the enjoyment of the beer. They have friendly service although many times they have only one server and you have to wait for quite a while to be served. They have very good prices on their beer for pints and growlers however their beer is thus far very similar in flavor and somewhat tasteless. Hopefully they bring some of the recipes around.

I believe Wander is a definite contender for best brewery in the state. I have enjoyed each beer I have tried from them and look forward to each new addition they put out. The owner's and small staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable which is such a plus. I think the other brewer's in Bellingham better step their game up if they want to compete.

The recently opened "tasting room" is located in the brewery, so hours are limited. Being in a brewery means that the atmosphere runs to the industrial-type feel. The room is tall, so the sound is kind of bouncy.
The selection of Wanders brews has been very good on my visits, and more are in the pipeline. The service, quite often the owners, is good and solid. Wander doesn't have a kitchen, but do have rotating roach coaches, featuring various local eateries. I've tried most of them in the past and have found the range to be from OK to very, very good.
There is some outdoor seating, but not much of a view. There is limited indoor bicycle parking (IIRC, 4 hooks) and an ample bike rack in the outdoor seating area.
Wanders location on the edge of downtown Hamsterham makes it great for locals, and is a great spot on a 5 brewery loop of B'ham. My suggestion would be to park/start at Boundary Bay, head up a couple blocks to Aslan, make the trek up to Kulshan, cut through the neighborhoods to Chuckanut, then catch the trail up to Wander.
Wander is a welcome addition to the Bellingham beer community, and I look forward to many beers! A must visit when in town.
