brewpub and restaurant, there is a bar and seating on the first level, then an upper level were they were doing some kind of hands-on brewing party, with more seating there as well. taplist was fairly diverse, the beer was okay but not great. service was good.

Had the Mosaic IPA and this was literally one of the worst beers I’ve ever had. It tasted like I was drinking medicine. Just awful stuff. I tried to alert the bartender that the batch was off. She tried a sip, and claimed it tasted great. BS.

I dug the vibe here, it reminded me of a cafe or sorts. The service was good the beers were decent and the food was very good. I'd go back when I'm in the area if something on the tap list really struck me or if friends recommended it as a meeting place or something.

This brewing company is OK. The service was very informative about the beer and very kind. The tap room is kind of small, it has a bar that seats about 10-13 and about 5 or 6 tables for eating. The quality was decent but nothing special and definitely not worth the price they charged per flight ($14). Their menu had mostly IPA's with one porter, one blonde, and a wheat beer I believe. One thing I noticed that was cool was they had guided tours of the brewing company if you scheduled ahead. You could see the top of their vats from the bar. Not bad of an establishment but, IMHO is not worth a revisit.

Visited the Tuesday after Memorial Day. They make their own on premises and there were a couple of guys bottling their brews in bottles and crowlers. Nice and friendly with a knowledge staff. Food is real good too. Good selection of beer types with IPA's, stouts, Belgians, porters all on tap. A few guest taps as well. Walking distance from my hotel, certainly worth a trip.
After reading some of the reviews of their beers on BA is was hesitant to try it, but I had seven of their offerings (three pints and a flight of four) and all were good. None were great, but all were easy to drink and true to the style.

Located at Newton Corner, this is a mix between a brewpub and a beer bar. It was quite hopping for a Sunday night (before the Boston Marathon).
The place is sunny in the late afternoon sun. The food is served very hot, and it is very traditional. A good meal easily served. The service is attentive and informed, although the beers are fairly predictable.
The beer selection is decent with a combination of house brews and New England brews.

They sometimes have a great beer selection. It is hard to know though, since it is only posted in the actual space. They used to post a picture of the beer wall on twitter but that has gone away. I think the owners focus is on his new liquor store in the Boston Public Market.

Decent place with a good mix of house brews and guest beers. The bar area is quite small, but it was quiet and uncrowded when we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Service was friendly and the beer list seemed well chosen (a good mix of styles and breweries represented).
The only negative was the food. We ordered a pretzel to start and it was an oily (buttery), bland, dry mess. Served with a watery mustard and a nasty "bacon jam," it just wasn't good. Compared to Deep Ellum, which serves a great pretzel, it was a letdown.

Space is tight here if most of the kettles are used by groups, but a nice little setup. My wife got an appointment for brewing for my birthday, and I chose the black IPA. Servers were ready with beer and charcuterie in between the steeping and hop additions. If I was local to Newton it would be a nice place to hang out for a beer even without brewing my own.
The Comet IPA was decent but a little too strong on the hefe malt for my taste. My wife and another person in our group loved the Down Boy barrel aged (Bully Boy) stout. For guest beers, I had a Clown Shoes Hoppy Feet 2.0, and an Idle Hands lager.
Hope my beer turns out well, will be back in 2 weeks to bottle. You can name your beer and design labels accordingly as well.
