Finally stopped in with a buddy during a mildly nasty snowfall. The place is sorta set back amidst some mixed-use industrial park kind of area, not really right off the main drag. Somewhat barbell-shaped, the layout consists of two wider seating areas (one of which has some games) split by a central bar area, behind which the brewery machinations can be witnessed. We sat at the end of the bar closest to the brewing equipment and coolers. The vibe is mostly rustic modern, a touch of hipster flair here and there. The selection was very nice, with plenty of variety, something for everyone (especially tickers like Yours Truly). Flights are available, which is always a plus for me. A selection of bottled wild and barreled offerings is also available. The service was sharp, friendly, and knowledgeable, and their beers were generally pretty durn tasty. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and (if I may speak for him as well) we look forward to be able to make a return visit in the near future.

Cozy and inviting, Scorched Earth has a beautiful rugged and woodsy interior that will warm your spirit and wet your whistle! My husband and I travelled about an hour from home to check out this brew spot, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The beers on tap come in a variety of sizes and prices, which makes it easy to sample all the beers without filling up or breaking your budget. They also offer flights. I thought all of their beers were unique and delivered the flavor they boasted. Despite the house being completely packed, the two girls working behind the counter stayed friendly and helpful, and we never waited long for our glasses to be re-filled. We took home a growler of the limited production "Wet Willie" but also enjoyed their main selection, such as the easy to drink "Hickster".

Nice little place, i've enjoyed their beers for a couple years now and finally had a chance to make it to the brewery.
It's in a nondescript office park, just look for the patio lights. Not a lot of guiding signage at all from the main road.
If you've seen the taproom photo on their website, that's pretty much the whole place, give or take an extra table.
Bar seats 18ish, the metal barstools get a little uncomfortable after awhile, snag seats at a table or an easy chair.
Nice shuffleboard table off to the side. Some guys were attempting to play with the pucks upside-down, oddly enough.
Selection was good with a pretty varied lineup of styles. Robust porter, dry stout, 2 IPA's, fruited gose, wine-barrel aged sour ale, imperial pumpkin porter, kölsch, a wine grape version of the kölsch, a smoked ale, and more. Quality was good across the board, the weakest link was the strawberry rhubarb gose, which didn't have much fruit character. The great thing though is they have started bottling stuff from their barrel program, and had 6-8 varieties available to go. Had 3 so far that were good.
Service was timely at the bar, though not very chatty at all. It was fairly busy on a Sunday afternoon, maybe half full. Seemed like mostly locals, including one guy who "just heard about their IPA beer" and is "learning brewing", so naturally he wants to start a brewery... watch out Scorched Earth! ;) Probably the best brewery around for miles.

Nice place. Nice that it's set back a bit from the main road. Good vibe and selection of 12 beers on tap (all ales) when I was there. Ordered pizza in from Rossatis.

Love this place, great selection of all their own brews and nice/friendly wait staff. Must join Thursday bar trivia.

I dig this place. For a brewery in the NW suburbs, this is a cool place. The atmosphere is nice and has a cool vibe. A shuffleboard table is always a nice thing to have on hand. The view of the brewery is open and inviting.
The beers are good and they only seem to be getting better too. The creativity is growing and some different styles are starting to pour out, no pun intended. They've definitely got a beer for everyone and every type of drinker.
The staff is really cool, talkative, and attentive. Everyone there has an interest in what they are doing and, more importantly, what they are selling.
Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

I had opportunity to visit SEBC while in the area for the weekend. Was a neat place with great bar tending staff. Had a sample flight of beers and took a few howlers for the road. Would come back for more!

Great Brews, seasonals, cool tap room, just off the beaten path. Service is good, glad they've added in some darker choices. Uncle Argyle is my current favorite. Would recommend.
