Liquid Mechanics Brewing Co.

This brewery stands in a busy corner by the highways in this very suburban stretch of suburban Denver. Big brewery! Plenty of outdoor space, big bar... smart design, Colorado chill. Feels good here.

15 beers on tap, divided in classics/seasonals/specialty. From a pilsner to a barrel-aged barleywine, they have a bit of everything here. Both the BA Imperial Porter and BA barleywine were OK but far from great (or even very good). Their Belgian DIPA was fine but boring. And their Liqweldellic sour cherry farmhouse was also OK.

I like their variety of beers, but I don't love the quality. However, the place is fun enough to revisit.

The vibe is quite open, amd the back/barrel room is very cozy and comfortable with a few pinball machines available as well. Unfortunately a party had reserved the room and I had to move to the front around 3pm, but the front room is spacious and industrial themed while staying comfortable and inviting. A bit more of a brewer's brewery, but the laid back atmosphere is nice.

Quality is good, but inconsistent. Some beers are amazing, and others could use improvement. Not bad by any means but their pils was either an old keg or just a bit off.

Service was laid back but good. No waits and the bartender was inviting, friendly, amd attentive. Not a full service bar with food or table service but for the laid back vibe the bartender went almost above and beyond.

Selection was actually quite good. A nice selection of pale lagers as well as a black lager and a märzen lager plus your standard selection of IPAs plus a creative sour and barrel aged option.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Was pleasantly surprised to move very close to this brewery, and find that they have some really nice offerings. It is small inside but nicely decorated, with some large tables and a semi-circle bar. The service is always great, and the beer servers are knowledgeable and friendly. The offerings rotate often, and they have a wide range of styles. Nothing they have blows your mind, but nothing is poor either, and the prices are fair.

i really dug this place, and the beers we had were both excellent. its in a brand new facility, sort of modern chain american look from the outside, like a cheesecake factory or something belongs in there. inside its lovely though, polished and tidy, with some wood and iron featured and a round bar with plenty of seating and a good sized patio. the only thing about the patio is that its close enough to the highway to be a little less relaxing, but its still a cool place to kick back a few. i had a anejo tequila barrel aged kolsch, which i loved. to take a heavy woody tequila and pair it with the lightest of beers, it was just really need to see all that barrel on a style that never sees anything like that. it was awesome. the hefe was also exceptional. great vibe overall, just full of locals who all seemed to be loyalists to this place. everyone was friendly, they had a good sense of humor, a tasty food truck, and overall this was a fun stop. look forward to going back. go get some of that tequila kolsch before its gone though, its fantastic!
