If you love sours, this will be your brewpub. It makes the "selection" category a bit hard to rate. With 17 beers on tap, all of which are sour, one could score the Selection rating very low. But the variety within the sour style is the best I've ever experienced. Know what you are getting ahead of time and you will not be disappointed.
This is a small place located on the main road leading into Brattleboro. There is a large muncipal parking lot next door. The person handling the handful of customers was friendly and knowledgeable about the product. Most of the beers are extremely tart, but they are all of superior quality.
This is a MUST stop, worthwhile of a road trip, for anyone who likes sours. For the rest of us it is worthy of stop on our way to granddaddy breweries north nearer to Burlington.

Located on one of the hilly main streets heading towards the river. There is a municipal parking lot right next door. Smallish interior, small patio off of the parking lot. The 22 "all sour" taplist did not bode well for me, as I was only able to try 2 small samples. Very good samples, but too sour for my sensitive stomach. Owner (I believe) was tending bar and enjoyed talking beer. Very low key. If you're a sour head, this place is for you.

Late review from a mid-December Thursday visit, got there right as they opened.
Very friendly staff, helped me navigte the tap list as I assembled my tasting flight and happy to answer any questions.
Went with the cellar starter pack when I left (three cans of four sours - one for now, two for later), highly recommend!
Side note there was ample metered parking but bring dimes/quarters, didn’t take cards

Went the the brewery over the weekend. Located on a hilly side street near the main street of Brattleboro. Plenty of public parking around the place. The brewery had a rural, slightly industrial vibe with a wooden bar and brick walls.
The place is kind of small. Only a few spots at the bar and a table or two to stand at. Many of the brewing equipment was right there in the main room according to the bartender. In addition, merchandise and beer-to-go was also in the main room. I was the only one there at the time, but I could see how a very busy night could be a little crowded in there.
The bartender was incredibly informative. Lots of details on the history of the brewery, how the beers are brewed, etc. Super friendly. About 10 of the brewery's beers seemed to be available according to the tap list. I was able to get a 4-beer flight and enjoyed my selections.
Overall, as long as you do not mind a cozy tasting room, this is an excellent hang out spot in Brattleboro to try some really good beers from friendly people.

Neat brewery and taproom. Pretty nondescript wooden barn kind of feel in converted industrial space. Pretty small with limited seating.
The young lady behind the bar was outstanding and knew every beer on tap. Some offerings were off the board for which she apologized - not sure why. If something kicked, it had a line thru it on the chalkboard. On the other hand, we got there a few minutes after they opened...maybe those kicked kegs could have been replaced?
The beers were fantastic, very well-designed, well executed, and very flavorful. Where this derails for me is the price point. It is rare that I balk at cost, but $38 for a four pack seemed a bit extreme. Thinking about it, the prices are actually not that far removed on a per ounce basis versus other beers of similar style. Maybe it was just temporary sticker shock, but my immediate reaction was that the value seemed out of whack.

Great selection and the owners are fantastic. Some of the team who serves do not have the best personality but the beer is great and the atmosphere is awesome.

This is a really cool location with lots of innovative and interesting beers, served by friendly and engaging people. Their beer is notably much better here at the source than elsewhere, so it's definitely worth a stop. I love the brewery itself but wish their beers didn't cost so much in retail and tasted better on draft around the state. Still, they fill a niche that isn't well-served in VT and are a welcome addition as a result.

I stopped at Hermit Thrush in downtown Brattleboro on a busy day of brewery visiting, after Night Shift and Trillium and before Harpoon, on my way up to Stowe VT.
Very compact tasting room, all wood and brick, room for 4 or 5 on stools on a couple more in the corner. One side of the tasting room is dedicated to storage of cans of beer. Behind that you can see barrels.
You can try small samples of all the beers on tap, price is next to nothing. I bought some beer to go and I'm not sure I was charged for the samples.
Bartender was very friendly, happy to discuss each of the beers and point me in the right direction.
Most people head to VT to grab some great IPA's. Don't miss this great brewer of saisons and wild ales.
I'm really looking forward to my next trip up that way and I will set aside more time for Hermit Thrush.

Its a quiet brewery just off the main drag of Brattleboro, Vermont, with a nice selection and a rustic atmosphere. The brewery specializes in sour beers, so if that isn't your jam, be warned. The bartender was a bit overworked, since the main crew was elsewhere for a beer festival, but was incredibly pleasant and as helpful as he could given that he was so new.
The beers are all surprisingly delicious and refreshing for sour beers, and we were able to get fresh cans of just about anything our hearts desired. It isn't a true bar as much as a tasting opportunity for the brewery, and it looks like brewers heaven; the ground floor was half bar and half storage for the product. Definitely worth a visit and a few tastes of their funky fresh beer.

Small store front brewery on a relatively steep side street with metered parking off the main drag. The place has a very rustic, cobbled-together look and feel... a bit like a country store. Small L-shaped bar on the right seats around 8, on the left is a barrel area and can and merch. About 10 beers on tap; their forte is sour beers - not my faves, but they do have some very nice ones. Friendly service, They sell cans to go, but won't break 4 or 6 packs.

Cool little spot, very old looking building on the inside. There isn't a whole lot of seating there, I was thankful we got there right when they opened so it wasn't very crowded. They didn't have a restroom at the time which I was kind of surprised by, we had to walk down the street to some public bathroom to relieve ourselves. Hoping that will change if it hasn't already. Service there was friendly as well. Decent beers also.

A nice little place with a small tasting room. The decor is mainly of barrels and old wood hardening back to the old world brewing of the monks. All beers are Belgian inspired. There was an option of two flights. Some beers were canned others were only available in growlers. The beers were very good and fun to try. They had some real nice sours, and even for someone burnt out on Belgians, that'd be me, there was variety and intrigue. The service was excellent - friendly, accommodating, and informative. No food or full pulls here - tastings only due to size and local laws. All in all it is straight forward - just beer, good beer - and a fun experience.

located a block off the main drag through downtown Brattleboro, in a nice old storefront.
tasting room with a bar and a couple of tables - also a small art gallery off to the side.
They had 10 beers on tap, with option for 2 different flights. Prices for 32 and 64 oz growlers. Mostly leaned towards Belgians styles and sours.
Brewers were friendly and answered questions about the beers.
