Chill brewery in the inner harbor region of Baltimore, with a good selection of styles, all good! Lots of bar and table seating, excellent service and hospitality, and killer pizza!

 

 

 

 

Visited on a weekday afternoon. Good selection of beers including IPAs, lagers, and some others. Excellent service and overall beer quality. On-site pizza oven is worth checking out, too. I try to avoid Baltimore but if I'm in the area I would gladly visit again.

 

Arriving on a Wednesday evening. The brewpub is clean, dimly lit, yet stylishly designed. My wife and I had a seat at the bar, and inquired about a few of their beers. Our server was friendly, and quick to answer any questions. We settled on Bird Law and Green Machine (enjoyed by myself previously). Since we don't live in the area, my intention was to have a beer, and get beer to go, but had to settle on a couple of crowlers instead of my pints. Hopefully I'll catch them on the next can release.

The next visit, I plan on staying for a few more GM's.

 

The Cherry Wack gose was interesting - A little more assertive than I expected, but dark, complex and delicious. This is a small place that had a deafening crowd even at 5pm on a Saturday. Bartenders were hopping and attentive, but l could see how easily this place could become a madhouse. A single U-shaped slate topped bar surrounded the base of the clay brick smokestack, punctuated by a foosball table at one end. The bar accommodated about 20 high backed stools, along with a long high-top table (with more stoolsj a couple of barrels, and some limited outdoor seating. The Simple Sausage marzen had a distinctly balanced finish that was drying with a lingering touch of sweetness. Very drinkable and well done. The crowd was mostly young (20s - 30s) with a few of us older folks mixed in. College football played on both flatscreens. Eight taps, serving a nice selection that included an IPA, a Pale, a red IPA, the black Cherry Wack Gose, a Quad, a Porter, a Marzen and a Dopplebock.

 

 

I went to a Hop Broth release and the place was rocking! The beer itself was very well made, the other beers on tap were also good. The place is right off of I-95, so it is an easy destination to get to. Well worth the trip! I wish they were open throughout the week and earlier, I would be visiting the place much more often!

 

I met my brother there after work yesterday, a Friday, to have a few beers. Unfortunately this is a rare occurrence. This place was definitely a great choice. We had a great time!

Due to the release of their Hop Broth double IPA, unseasonably warm weather and it being a Friday the place was packed. Even so the service was fairly quick and friendly. There were plenty of friendly patrons as well. We enjoyed a couple of rounds then grabbed a four pack of Hop Broth on the way out. I really enjoyed the Azacca blonde ale on tap, which is style that I usually find bland.

The look and feel of their tap room is great. They have a roomy patio and plenty of space inside as well. The coolest feature though was that the bar is built around the base of the industrial brick chimney which rises through the roof wearing the Diamond back logo about 10-12 feet above the roof.

There are also large windows along one side of the tap room that I belive look down into the brewery. I will make it a point to to check that out next time as I will definitely be going back. If I lived within walking distance, as does my brother, I would most likely be there regularly.

This is an easy recommendation.

Awesome place. Colin's got a great place here. These guys love their craft and you can see it. Knowing I was from out of town and a huge fan of the style they ran out of. He went down to the brew room and fetch me a sample of it. Even though it was a tad premature, the fact that he did it was awesome. You have a new fan from boston now. Thanks for the hospitality.
