One of the chefs I work with lives in Delaware and he told me about this brand-new brewery opening up in Smyrna. So when I had three days off in a row, there we went. Down to Rehoboth and Maryland, with a stop at Blue Earl.
The location is out of the way, in an industrial park seemingly in the middle of nowhere. But the taproom is nice and spacious, with a long-ass bar, plenty of tables, cornhole and the works. A good size crowd on a Friday evening, including young families with babies, old folks and what not.
I didn’t expect to see so many beers on tap. For a new brewery, they are doing well. 12 taps, most all based in music, jazz and blues from down south. Neat idea. And a bit of everything, from a pale ale to a quad and a Russian imperial stout. Some are very good, others are mediocre, but I appreciate their brewing different styles.
Beers are $5, flight of 4 is $10, flight of 8 is $18 and a flight of all $12 is $27! I dare you. The menu is detailed and full of descriptions, the brewery dudes are nice. Must revisit!

Last building in the industrial park, but worth seeking out. All of the beers were spot on and great examples of their respective styles. Knowledgeable bar staff, and a good range of styles. Blues soundtrack in the background.

Good vibe with friendly mix of locals and others. Many quality beers named after various blues songs. Service is normally very good. Owner, Ronnie, is frequently seen pouring a draft and talking to customers. Open Blues nights are an exceptional experience with classy, local artists treat the crowd. Menu is light, but not a typically bar menu. Brisket nachos are a delight.

We liked this place a lot when revisited when we visited three years ago or so.Today on our way back from Abbott Mill , we stopped in and were very disappointed with all of the choices, Would not go here again particularly also they are charging around 20 bucks for their growlers,, ridiculous!

I visited Blue Earl Brewing at opening on 9/24/16. The bar tenders were very helpful in assisting us pick out our beers. You could taste any beer on tap before you bought anything. The offered flights, half pints and pints. They had 12 beers on tap. I tried the Watermelon man, which was a watermelon wit, the You Shook Me, which was a helles, and Honey Suckle Rose, which was a Belgian blonde. I thought all of their beer was pretty good. Very nice spot to catch a couple beers.
They also sold growlers, six packs of 2 of their beers and several bombers.

Wow!!! Great new brewery doing some fine work. Stopped in around 5 on a Thursday. inside an industrial park across from a mega Wal Mart distribution center and next to the public works joint. Open and wide expanse of an interior. Long bar probably seats at least 25. Only 2 others at the bar. Service was quick and pleasant.
12 beers on tap with anything from porter to pale to IPA to Russian Imperial. Helles and an Oktoberfest as well. Had a flite of 4 samples, a pint of Helles and a porter that was great at only 4.8%. They were having a vanilla/bourbon barrel RIS release that night.
Love the blues music themes of the place and the beers. Will definately be back and hopefully for some live tunes as well. No food per se but understand they are doing the food truck thing. Good stuff Blue Earl!!!

Visited the "soft" opening of the brewery tasting room on May 16. Place was busy with lots of people looking to try new beers. Beers were good and people were friendly. They had a food van outside but I didn't try any of the food. The brewery is still getting operation started so they had more people there than they could handle but still a great group working and visiting there and I will return to see how they progress.
