Huge new beer place (too big to be a pub). Near where I grew up.
Very large beer selection.
Many of the IPAs were pretty good.
No food other than food trucks which were pretty limited.

Awesome spot to enjoy their fine brew, indoors or out - awesome spaces.....modern and high ceilings indoor, large communal tables and great views outside.

Multiple NEIPA can kinda options to go, food trucks out back. Fine place for a visit, worthy road trip to take outside of Denver.

Well, just a nice place to have a beer. Overlooking Golden, CO (well, Coors) and the foothills. Large outdoor space, a smallish semi-private room. Nice staff, good beer. Relax, have a beer. Just watch out for the cyclists

ive been hearing so much about these guys, seeing their tap handles all over all of a sudden, and was finally able to check it out and see what all the fuss is about. its a compound, straight up huge, brand new, and gorgeous, on the hill there overlooking the mesa, some water, and the mountains in the background, epic setting, and they nailed the space. there is a shaded patio on one side, and a big beer garden area in the back with picnic tables everywhere, kids and dogs rolling around in the dirt, and a but in just about every seat on a saturday afternoon. they have two food trucks out there, thats how busy it was, and some seating out front too, which is where we ended up. peaceful out there for how busy this is, definitely a family place, kids in soccer uniforms running around and all. inside is nice too, high ceilings and massive, with lots of seating and a big bar. they had a line up for beer, which is odd in a craft brewery, but thats the case here, fortunately it moved pretty fast and they had a lot of folks behind the bar doing it up. it was loud and full of echoes and chaos, but on a weekday it might be better. looked like a lot of fermentation capacity in the back, and some private event space or something up top, a grand design really well thought through, this is a very unique brewery visit. the beer list is long and ambitious, but i didnt really love any of the beers. a coconut brown hit the mark pretty well, but most of the others were near flat from the tap, even if the flavor was good. their flights are cool and have a lot of beer in them which is nice, and there is a lot that jumps out here as desirable and unique, but i was let down by overall beer quality. maybe i just ordered wrong, but five beers should yield a winner right? even with the less than impressive beers, the place is cool and well worth checking out. im sure they will get the recipes dialed in over time, there is no way these guys arent successful. neat spot, dogs welcome!

A fun place to be on a warm Friday night. A breathtaking view. The facility is large, with a huge patio. Parking lot was full and there were cars parked on either side of the road. Standing in line for beer, I could feel the energy from the crowd. Bar service is friendly and efficient. There were a dozen New Terrain beers on tap. I had Golden Haze, a NEIPA, and Up & About, a coffee stout. Both were a little above average.
There were a couple food trucks available.
Would come back here again.

Amazing, vast brewpub with scenic views and a bustling atmosphere including humans and canines (although I do concur with other reviewers that I wish there were fewer kids running around). The beer was fantastic with a great selection of styles. My only complaint is that when it's crowded, you have to wait in a very long line to get a beer - they need to fix that. But definitely worth multiple visits and a very unique experience.

Stop #523 on my world brewery tour.

Visited after a mountain bike ride at the Yeti Cycles HQ in Golden. New, big, and open describe this very well-done brewery (and combination bicycle manufacturer). I had a number of lighter samples since the weather was so nice and then did an IPA flight with them all being solid.

V-New Terrain is located a bit outside of downtown Golden near the Cooks Tek office park. It is a pretty giant facility with Wal-Mart-like parking and a shiny new building right near the North Table Mesa trailhead. There is a large gravel area outside and lots of room inside too. The location near the trailhead is nice, but the place feels a bit like an REI...like someplace that someone thinks would be appealing to people who go outside and do extreme things would like. I should add that when I visited on Thursday evening, the place was packed and there was a bluegrass band playing on a stage outside.

Q-I tried full pours of the cream ale, which I really liked, and the NE-style IPA, which was mediocre. Small tastes of other beers revealed varying levels of success; the orange cream ale was less creamy than the plain version and the wit was alright.

Ser-I have some sympathy since the place was busy, but the service was below average. The staff was not very friendly and they did not have enough people behind the bar to move people through. They also had a strange line-up system that did not help the backlog of thirsty patrons. Glassware was beer-specific, however.

Sel-I counted at least a dozen beers on tap, with a good variety summertime appropriate beers. A few sours and lighter offerings, e.g., cream ales and wits, as well as the ubiquitous offering of IPAs. Also nice to see a few lighter stouts and browns on the menu.

O-Perhaps this place was just too big for my taste, or maybe the rude service turned me off, but I had merely an OK experience here despite the decent beers.
