Waverly Brewing Co. (WBC) is located in the Hampden-Woodberry area of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. WBC was conceived amidst a table of beers (as many great ideas are), when some friends new and old gathered to sample brewer Roy Fisher’s storied homebrews.
Waverly Brewing Co.’s beers strive to be honest and hard-working while remaining playful and experiential. WBC holds no allegiance to regional styles nor a particular flavor profile. Rather, we brew what we like to drink, and we’re always eager to create new and interesting brews to share with friends. Whether you’re a seasoned craft beer veteran or a curious casual beer drinker looking for new taste adventures, we believe you’ll find sanctuary with Waverly Brewing Co.
Don’t drink whatever. Drink Waverly.™

Just down the street from Union Brewing is the new Waverly Brewing, in a small industrial building with outdoor seating and a meandering interior.
Eight taps at the bar of fairly uneventful but correct brews, including a Blonde, Brown, Wheat, Oyster Stout, APA , IPA and a guest tap.
Resonable prices, divey-cool atmosphere , cool outdoor area right next to I-83. Fun overall, but can’t beat Union Brewing. No chance.

A great little venue in the heart of Bmo city. Been there on a couple different occasions; each time it didn't disappoint. During the summer they have an outdoor area to hang out, play corn-hole, and other games while sipping on some great beer. During the winter, it's all indoors and turns more into a bar / club-like atmosphere (when we visited it was open mic night). Great neighborhood vibe and worth checking out... despite being in Bmo.

The vibe here reminds me of a father's rumpus room in the 50's crossed with some industrial materials. It works though. The layout makes it feel pretty cozy. Generally the place is not packed wall to wall, which makes it a nice stop to hang out and enjoy. They also have an outdoor seating and cornhole area. The beer is solid, but rarely blows my mind. That being said, I've never had a bad beer there. You can always count on a wide selection of ipa, golden, sour, and stout varieties. Service is where Waverly really shines. I've always been treated very well whether I'm stopping in for a single pint or several.

Best thing about Waverly at this point is the vibe, which is casual and very inviting, with zero pretension. Plenty of room inside and a nice outdoor area with picnic tables and a couple of other seating options. You can play some cornhole if you like, and a food truck is usually set up if you're hungry.
To date the beers have been good, but I haven't tasted anything exceptional/memorable. They've tried a bunch of styles and plan to continue to do so. As a hop head I'm looking forward to their first DIPA, which is definitely in the works. The more established Union Craft Brewing is across the street, so if you visit you can hit both (always recommended). Oh, they also offer guest taps from other locals on a seemingly random basis, which is cool.
I look forward to watching how these guys progress. They're already off to a solid start. Good beer, great atmosphere, in a funky (but safe) part of Baltimore. Fun place!

As the only brewery in Hampden, I was hoping to find a gem that would overshadow nearby Union Craft Brewing. To date, I've had a growler of Turnbuckle - a buckwheat brown ale - and two flights running the gamut of their offerings at the time. The Turnbuckle got my hopes up, although among the flights I counted at least three beers with the same distinct, buttery off-flavor. Hopefully an isolated incident, but discouraging considering how much I wanted to like this new spot.
The space is modest and industrial-comfortable, and the catering by Clementine is a welcomed addition. The staff are friendly and responsive, and the branding and logo are stylish. I'm keeping an open mind, yet the lack of a strong flagship beer and the bad tasters will lead me to Union's offerings when I want to drink local more often than not.
