38° Ale House is located in the Old Town District of Monrovia, so the area has more of a quaint small town feel to it. There was plenty of parking. The building itself is sort of nondescript, there is a small 38° signage out front. I like it.
Once inside, there is lots of space with a bar area, tables, etc. The tap list was pretty good. This is the sister location to the one I visit regularly in Alhambra, so they have access to hard-to-get beers. Earlier in the week they had Citra on tap though it didn't last long I was told. Today, I had a flight of AleSmith BBA Speedway and couple variants. I only had some fries with my beers, but the menu is the same as their other location, and the food there is always tasty, so I believe it's the same here. Good beer, good food.
I'm glad I finally got a chance to visit. When in the area, I'll stop by again.

Found this place via Yelp on our way home from the LA RV Show. Sparse signage on the front of the building, but peeking through the front at about 130pm, there were patrons inside so in we went.
Nice selection of beers on tap - spanning session varieties, IPAs, seasonals, to stouts. Something for everybody. I had a chai ale while my wife had the oatmeal stout - both very good.
For our food, we split a Garlic-Tomato Pizza and the Killer Tofu Cucumber Roll. In a word, the food was great. Pizza came with whole cloves of roasted garlic - just great for these garlic lovers. The cucumber roll was a visual sight, nice presentation, and quite tasty with a bit of a kick. Sports TVs throughout (the one immediately near us showing a hockey game). The place also has a good variety of seating options - bar, high tables, low tables, long tables - something for about every group.
Service topped off pleasantly from our server Ryan.
Impressed - a nice find in Monrovia.
