Skeleton Key Brewery

Great music adds to the vibe of an otherwise stark warehouse. But, what do you need?
Beer. Yes, and solid. Really liked the smoked Stout and the scotch ale.
Seats. Yes, and plenty. Several at the bar, another 20 or so in the tap room. On entry you first come into a 'party'/'overflow' room that easily seats 40 more.
View. Yes, if you want to see stainless tanks.
Games. Absolutely. Play and meet new friends.
Food. Sparse, but trucks are common enough.

Really cool place inside an industrial park. Really well designed and inviting with several rooms and themes. Friendly service. Selection was pretty good and they had some interesting stuff. I'd pick this place to visit in this general area.

 

 

 

Friendly atmosphere. Nice bar room and larger family area for games and carry in food. We were there on a brew day. In lieu of a tour, there was in house TV coverage with close-ups of the process, which was interesting. Worth a visit. Everything about the visit was good, but nothing stood out as exceptional.

Upon walking into Skeleton Key the first thing I noticed was the generous amount of seating. There were quite a few tables set up in a nice sized room just prior to entering the brewery/tap area. The brewery/tap area has seating for about 15 at the bar with additional barrel tables for standing room drinking. The lighting consisted of old school bulbs with clear glass skulls over them. Behind the bar was an old school set-up of stacked small (maybe 5x5) drawers on the wall with locked doors on the front of them. Pretty cool set-up. The beers were very good overall. Very well balanced with a lot of solid flavors. Easily the best part of my experience was the five star service. The bartenders took the time to learn and call you by your name. They were attentive, fast, knowledgeable, and very polite. I highly recommend a stop at the Skeleton Key Brewery.

Solid place with about 8 quality beers on tap. The staff is great: friendly, knowledgeable, courteous and everything you'd like at your local brewpub! The beer classes they have are tremendous and a bonus most similar places don't have. If you're in the area this is a "must stop location". Stop by and enjoy!

 

Brand new clean brewery and tap room with a joining room for parties or extra sitting. All beers I had with tasting were solid, and tasty, and had nice lace on the glass and we easy to drink. Brewer and owners were very friendly. I will send others here to visit.
