Great spot but you are walking into a room with a counter. Hung out and saw the brewing vats and the brewers, but there really is no vibe there since it is a small walk-in counter. That being said, the place was clean and spotless, well organized and the service was top notch. The team is very friendly and helpful. There were many beers available for purchase and on tap and this hidden gem is a great place if you want to have a party with the crew you brought.

Looks like this area was an old warehouse district, right next to the RR tracks. No taproom per se, a small counter where you can get drafts and cans/bottles and a shaded beer garden outside. Restroom is just a port-a-potty. Parking not an issue, but I was here at opening. IPA centric taplist today. Good service.

Located in downtown White River Junction, visited In the summer of 2022 with my wife, son and our 2 dogs. This brewery is amazing. Very small, no indoor seating with limited outdoor. The service was very good. Their beer is amazing to say the least. The only bad side is trying to decide which beer to take home to Pennsylvania with. Even though it may be the smallest brewery I have visit to date, it is a must go to, even if you just buy there large selection of beer to go. Totally pet friendly

You are ordering your beer from a little counter, at the edge of the brewing room. Walk out and around the side and sit at one of 4 picnic tables. It is all about the beer here and they start at solid and go up to really good.

Visited on 4/11/2021... during the times. Located in a very cool part of White River Junction and appears to be an excellent place to hang out and have a few pops. Due to the plague, was limited to carry away service but attendant seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. Will return once normalcy returns.

Well located in downtown White River Junction, VT - maybe a quarter mile or less from the Amtrak station! Carryout only due to Covid, but the staff member was pleasant and helpful. The make both lagers (bottom fermented) and ales (top-fermented). Nice selection included some sours, lagers, IPAs of all types and a Baltic Porter. Seems like a good local brewery.

Nice little place to stop for a beer and hopefully some cans if available. The quality of their beer is most certainly worth taking a long drive. Very small area to stand and enjoy a beer.

Chill and tiny. Just a few mins from the highways intersection in WRJ.
Samples, small pours and growler fill available...cans available sometimes but it’s more hit and miss.
Products I sampled were quite delicious, fine NEIPA, tasty stout and a barley wine, all were tasty and on point.....friendly guy behind the counter is always a plus...well worth seeking out their brews and/or making a visit.

Selection is small because they are small. But this place has amazing quality. I can’t wait to watch them grow!

A literal hole in the wall alongside the brewery where you can get tasters, shirts/glasses and growler fills. They were nice and the beers were very good. Purged growlers and some seating would be great in the future but as it is it was nice and is well-worth the stop when driving through White River Jct to try their excellent beers. Also I imagine they want to keep it as low-key as possible since they are pretty much just a hallway at the brewery. A cool little place in a pretty town with great beers. I didn't take the time to review the three I tried (both there and in a growler) but they were good and actually pretty diverse considering that they were all NEIPAs.

A small little brewery in downtown White River Junction. Tasters only available, as well as 4 packs to go. Friendly and warm, and the IPA selection was great. Glimpse is a wonderful DIPA, Heady Topper sibling, which is a delight to drink.
I wish there were seating and full pints available, but the restaurant in the same parking lot serves the purpose.

A very small operation unapologetically brewing almost exclusively New England-style pale ales and doing it as excellently well as, or better than, nearly anyone else. I give it a 4.5 for selection because, even though I can't overlook the fact that there's nothing but NEPA's, hence not a 5, NEPA's seem to be all I ever really want.
No hype, no fuss, and seldom any kind of line at the taps. No place to sit down, either, but Big Fatty's BBQ across the parking lot usually has one or two River Roost brews on tap (as well as HF, Lawsons, crowler fills, etc. - but that's another review).
Mark is a super-relaxed, unpretentious guy who can usually be found hanging around chatting but gets all nervous looking if you start getting excited and talking fast at which point he'll slip off and try to look busy out back. I've never seen him actually doing anything that looks remotely like brewing beer but somehow it seems to get done every week.
Note on growlers: screw-top growlers which aren't CO2 purged, just over-filled so, even though I've never had a bad fill, I don't keep them hanging around for more than a few days. They'll fill your 750ml swing-tops but at the 32oz price even though it's pretty easy to multiply the quart price by point-eight, right? At any rate, cans are coming soon, or so he says.
River Roost shares a fairly small parking lot with two restaurants, a florist and maybe a couple other businesses so parking can be a challenge at busy times.

Stopped in after my "stint" at Big Fatty's, cuz one just should if you like beer, period.
Really nice looking set up they got going on, but super small with no tasting area. Service was really nice, though and I did get a good vibe. Selection, obviously is only their beers. If I lived closer, I'd probably make this my go to brewery. Just glad to have sampled and am looking forward to "ripping into my growlettes" soon enough.
