I stopped by this local brewery yesterday for my first time ever. This brewery is located in northern Euclid on the main strip of businesses on Lake Shore BLVD., and is located inside a space that has obviously been a space that's housed restaurants and eateries over the past several decades. The brewery is owned and operated by a middle aged husband and wife couple who told me that in the past, the space was host to a pizza joint, a bakery, and a barbecue establishment and catering service. A small counter/bar was added to the place when they took it over and turned into a brewery. The counter/bar can accommodate 6-8 people at a time. In the front area of the brewery are 4 tables, two bigger ones that can accommodate 6-8 people each, and two smaller ones by the front window that can each accommodate 2-4 people. This establishment looks like it could comfortably accommodate 35 patrons at most before it would become too crowded. I was there for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours yesterday, and I'd say there were easily at least 20 other patrons in the establishment my entire stay, so business seemed to be steady. The owners were quite friendly to all the patrons, including myself, and seemed happy to answer all my questions about their brewery and even asked how I had heard about their establishment. I told them that although I didn't recall how exactly I had heard about the place, I'd only first heard about it a month or 2 ago. When they told me they'd actually been open almost 10 months now, I told them I was surprised since I'd been under the impression they'd only been open for 3 or 4 months now.
Behind the counter/bar are the fermenters, boil kettle, several tubes and hoses, etc. and other necessary equipment used to make the beer. Which takes me to the beers themselves, this establishment currently has 6 taps, all with one of their own beers being served from it. So, they have 6 of their own beers on-tap all the time. I tried full pours of 2 of their beers, an Extra Special Bitter and an American stout. Both beers were served properly at a somewhat chilled temperature, and the flavor profiles of both I thought were quite tasty overall and spot on for their respective styles. The other 4 beers they had on-tap during my visit that I didn't try are a kirsch, an amber ale, and 2 different pale ales. You can get a growler filled to go. They also make their own non alcoholic root beer to serve as well. The only food served in the place are little pretzels that patrons are free to munch on at the bars and tables while enjoying their beverages, and there is a sign on the wall saying that patrons are welcome to bring in their own food. There are many restaurants and eateries in the area, several within very short walking distance of the brewery, and I observed several groups of patrons bringing in food from some of them. Logo t-shirts, pint glasses, and growlers are available for purchase as well.
While all in all this is a place with good beer and good vibes, I wouldn't say it stands out as a place I'd recommend as a destination that's worth you going out of your way to visit if you live on an opposite side of town in the greater Cleveland area 45 minutes or more away from this place. However, if you are passing though the area anyways and or if you live in the northern half of eastern Cuyahoga County/the greater Cleveland area and surrounding areas then it is certainly worth your time to stop in. If you are looking to try some good beer at one of northeast Ohio's/Cleveland's many local breweries and you want something that's more pretty low key, with plenty of free and close parking, and without the hustle and bustle of the breweries located in downtown, Ohio City area, Lakewood, and or without having to go to the Southwestern area of Cuyahoga County then this is likely a spot you'll enjoy.
