Midnight Run came into being in a garage more than 10 years ago by home-brewing alchemists with dreams of a brewing empire. With degrees in both culinary arts and mechanical engineering, long-time friends Rich and Brent came together to create a line of dynamic and full-flavored brews.
A passion for fine beverages. A disregard for what is. A devotion for what will be.
Our brews:
Our beers don't usually fit neatly into a style guideline; if they do, it's purely coincidental. We take more of a free-thinking approach to brewing, in an effort to reject constraints or limitations. using both science and art, Midnight Run founders create unique brews for both the experienced and inexperienced beer drinker.
Tap room:
Come visit our our tap room for a beer or two, fill a growler, or purchase bottles to go. We currently do not offer food or snacks, but you are welcome to bring your own. Dogs are welcome.

Visited on a Saturday early afternoon. Good selection of beers available, mostly very good. Excellent service and the bartender was happy to chat about the beers. Candy and water available for the kids - nice touch. Overall a brewery I'd be happy to make a return visit to next time I'm in Frederick.

Located in a strip mall, had a feel like it was midway between a brewpub from 15-20 years ago and all the industrial park breweries you see nowadays. Beers were good enough, not as great of a variety as I would have thought looking at their beers listed here. Service was good.

This is a little place inside a strip mall with about 10 seats at the bar and seating for maybe 25 or so overall. It looked like they opened the back area for overflow, though the area is in/near the actual brewing equipment.
We got there at opening and place was laid back for a while, but got busy before too long (a bus stopped by to increase business). The servers handled the crowd pretty efficiently.
The beers included a handful of IPAs (mostly cloudy ones) and other strong beers generally ~10%, including a few “Belgian styles.” I quote this because they are loose with their categorization (e.g. a 10% flavored blonde ale). With 10 beers on tap, there wasn’t a light offering in house. The beers were tasty enough across the board regardless of style.

VERY impressed with this place. Starting with the staff, I was super amazed at how friendly and willing to talk the owners were. These guys have a clear passion for what they are doing and it is obvious they want everyone that walks into their door to enjoy the beer and the time spent.
Moving on to the beer selection, I was blown away at the flavors they have managed to capture and create. I have witnessed so many local craft breweries open in Frederick Md area, but all seem to offer very similar styles beers. This place has managed to set themselves apart from every other Frederick brewery by offering unique beers as well as just being down to earth great people.
Keep your eyes on these guys. I am expecting great things!

Located in a strip mall, though the space has been spruced up a bit it is fairly small with a short bar. I was attracted by the brewery's focus on bigger beers. My group sampled IPAs, BA scotch ales, stouts, and dark belgians. The quality ran from great to pass. Service was good overall, though we found it odd that they do not accept cash. No food is served though they welcome delivery and carryout. This spot is a nice change of pace, though not one that I'm dying to return to.

Unremarkable. Seems to be a focus on strong beer which is cool, but I sampled just about everything on tap and they ranged from below average to... average. Bummer.
