Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, very busy a lot of patrons enjoying the outside seating. Very modern decor and not overly “beachy” for being only 3 minutes from the ocean. Very clean. Pet friendly, saw a lot of dogs there which is nice.
Parking can get limited.

Hard to rate the normal vibe considering the state of the world today, but very laid back. Nice to have a solid brewer this close to Topsail without having to drive up to Wilmington. Everyone masked up inside at least including bartenders. Very attentive when taking orders and super friendly.

Great array of styles brewed and available on tap. IPAs, browns, sour ales, stouts, märzen. Two guest taps. And crowler and growler options for to go.

Tried a few flights and everything was nice and easy drinking. Solid stuff.

Overall an enjoyable experience at The Salty Turtle Brewing.

Groovy little place on the way to the beach. Surfer, beach vibe.
The IPA I had was good.
I was served quickly, the beer tender was really busy so no friendly chat.
I definitely plan to return.

Visited twice the week vacationing at Topsail Island. First visit service was rather slow, though there was a fair crowd, Second visit, service was very good, Quality of all beer tried was excellent. Atmosphere of bar was great with sections for your seating of preference (bar, tables, video game area for kids and outside seating). Parking is very limited at peak times. Two favorite beers were Coastline Kolsch and an IPA that can't remember the name (something Fog). Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The Salty Turtle Beer Company is a great brewery with a decent selection of beers, a bright and inviting space, and wonderful service. As I walked into the brewery,
I was greeted with a smiling face and a bright teal tap wall. The brewery gives you a rustic, beachy feel with metal shingles on the bottom foundation of the bar and wood accents throughout the space. Several pictures of nearby waterfronts add to this feeling. Appropriately, turtle decorations are scattered throughout the brewery, which is a great touch. Moreover, plenty of light makes the brewery different from a lot of breweries I have visited. As for the beer (the most important part), the brewery offers a few styles of its own, certainly not as many as I have seen in other breweries. This is understable given the brewery’s age. They currently offer about 5 different craft brews of their own and 8 from other breweries. The beers they do have on tap from their own brewery are of great quality, however. Overall, this brewery is one that I would check out again.

Salty Turtle Beer Co. is a newcomer to the greater Wilmington craft beer scene. It's a small brewery in a busy beach town that is turning out some solid brews with a relatively small setup in their brew room. The tap room is beautifully decorated and has a great beachy feel to it nicely combining elements and textures that make the space comfortable and interesting to hang out in. The are located down the street from Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue center and donate a portion of their proceeds to the rescue.

There's a decent variety of STBC beers and usually a couple taps from other local ILM breweries available. They also have cold brewed coffee and some wines on hand for those not looking for a beer.

Service has been outstanding on each of my visits. This place gets super crowded already and it's still off season. With a mix of bar stools, bar tables/chairs, a nice couch in one corner with a TV and I think a gaming system (Wii?), a covered outdoor area as well as an area on the lawn with corn hole there are plenty of spaces to hang out here and enjoy the time with a solid brew and some friends.

This is a young brewery with a bright future, definitely worth your time to stop in if you find yourself in the Surf City-Topsail Island area!
