Box of a place, with a medium sized patio area in the front and some couches and tables inside, along with a sleek, comfortable and pretty roomy bar straight ahead as you enter. Large windows open up to the patio and parking lot in front.
Casual feel, friendly staff and most importantly ample up to date styled brews...on tap and in cans to go...a bunch of hazed up IPAs, crisp pilsners, fresh and clean lagers, and a Belgian style golden ale that was quite complex and quite delicious.
Bring food in, take beers out..its all happening and its all good...well worth a visit to the this pleasantly chill spot.

Small taproom in a residential neighborhood. Rather bare boned in the interior department, though it has a patio. The types are good but the execution of them is moribund.

Started with four beer sampler including Ain't Bad (Vienna Lager), Local Poet (American IPA), Hindsight (Pilsner), and Dad Bod (Oatmeal Stout). The first three were good representations of the styles, which I would sample again. Need a full pour of Dad Bod before judging. ... Limited food menu, but pleased with pork sandwich I had. ... Service was friendly, but a tad slow because they were busy.

Fairly large place and it was packed on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of a snow storm. The beers I've had range from good to great. Service was good but they were really too busy to ask questions or have a conversation. lots of beer on tap. Interesting variety from English Dark Mild to Doppelbock to hazy beers. Spring rolls with peanut sauce were delicious!

Opened March 5th 2018 and these guys are hitting on all cylinders. From their main stays to the brews produced in the pilot system - I am in love. I definitely recommend: Zwickle (Pilsner), Pulp Culture (NEIPA), Near East (newer version). Food is available most days after 5, check the website for updated information. This place was opened and is operated by the local brewing supply store. Great vibe, great space, great location!

Brand new brewery on the near East Side. Killer menu of rotating beers, great open air warehouse vibe with the brewing rig within clear view of the taproom space. Favorite part of the taproom space is the couch, coffee table and board games. They’ve got a little bit of a kitchen offering some nice bar bites but nothing mind-blowing. Another instant classic on the Madison micro brewing scene.

Popped in here to check it out before the Great Taste, and wasn’t disappointed. There was a good sized crowd but still comfortable. The vibe was modern and maybe a little sterile, but a colorful mural on the opposite wall definitely added some interest to the space. Lots of light coming in the front windows. Counter service in back for food, a long L-shaped bar in the middle and a cashier in the corner to the right.
Wide range of beer styles available, tried a solid pilsner and NEIPA. Seemed to trend towards IPA’s and popular stuff. Would return when less busy to try more of their beers and the food. Service was good despite the crowd, efficient and friendly. They thanked me for returning glasses to the bar, which may have been a first. Nice staff.

Big space. Lots of drafts available, crowlers and growlers are filled here. Mostly they do IPAs and lagers, although they didn't have their pilsner available when I visited. IPAs are solid overall but the food is probably what they do the best here, for now. Lamb and pulled pork sandwiches were excellent. Service was good, and the vibe is nice. Family friendly, board games in the back, plenty of space in the open taproom, bike friendly.
