Hopkins Brewing Co is a neighborhood brewpub with live music and a very fun, welcoming vibe. The beer is small batch and the quality is exceptional. The food is also exceptional! Focusing on sustainable and local products as well. Hopkins has a bar license, so the purchase of food is not required, but definitely recommended!

this place is cool, urban and modern, and they are doing some neat stuff. its a long almost beer hall feeling space, with the brewery below with a cut out of the floor in front with some views down to the brew house, a bar in the middle, and a pretty open kitchen in the back, it feels hip and funky, artsy, cool looking people hanging out. they had a very limited beer selection when i was in, just a half dozen or so selections, but i was very pleased with my choices and they have a full bar too including some guest beers. the black sesame stout was real unique and clever, and the cascade oat saison had a wonderful texture and some points of interest for a clean fermented saison type, nicely done. i would have loved to stay and drink through more of them, but time was a little tight. i did manage to eat here, just a salad, but it was crisp and fresh and the portion was generous. brunch menu for the weekends looks really dope too. service was just okay, took a long time to even get acknowledged even though it was pretty slow when i was here, just seemed real impersonal, a shame because the rest of the action here is awesome. recommended still, a neat addition to the scene here, very crafty and cool.

Shiny, relatively new store front brewpub in an entertainment area of downtown Salt Lake City. Long straight bar on the left side of the room seats about a dozen with a few communal tables and a small sidewalk patio. Only 7 beers on tap, I had the NAIPA and the Deseret Dunkel, I especially like the latter. Friendly bartender. I did not try the food... apparently places that serve draft beer must serve some sort of food... which I guest would make all Utah breweries: brewpubs. Parking is a bit challenging here.
