A friend passed along the link to an event this Wednesday about the entrepreneurial aspect of the beer world and apparently quite a few local breweries will be represented. Anyone else plan to check it out? Participating breweries include Half Acre Beer Company, Haymarket Pub & Brewery, 3 Floyds, Goose Island, Tighthead Brewing Company, 5 Rabbit Brewery, BuckleDown Brewing, Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, and Two Brothers Brewing Company. This is going to be a great event, will be great kegs, and will be placing craft beer on the grand stage it deserves. Yes, no jeans or sneakers, but many will come after work anyway as described above. Will be fun!!

i didn't make the connection until just now, but you're right, i had no idea what event he was talking about until now
just make sure that you always keep your pinkies up while drinking the finely crafted libations at this event...
as always, there is going to be misunderstanding or misinterpretation that goes on, and of course with that comes negativity. this event is taking place at a location that doesn't permit jeans or sneakers. big deal. it is in a nice place, a step up from, say, the plumbers union hall. there is going to be a panel discussion of brewers, owners, etc who will discuss the entrepreneurial spirit of craft beer and the business, followed by a grand tasting. if john laffler doesn't want to go or be part of it, id be disappointed, as he is a respected member of the craft beer community and can add to the event especially based on his decision to leave goose and start off color, but I believe his tweet is a bit misunderstood. I look forward to seeing many of you on wednesday.
Does this mean somebody from FFF is gonna show up in khakis and a button up? I'll have to go just to see that.
