Per bottleworks twitter, 1/2 of the bottles were gone as of an hour ago.

Overall, great release. Outside of unknowingly sipping on Five Golden Rings and being beyond disappointed with what age had done to bottleworks XII, it was a great time. IMO, the bottleworks 14 was great and with its current balance will get far better with a year or two on it. Head to head I preferred the 12 (the real 12 that is), but that's probably just my overall preference towards more tart sours. Job well done bottleworks!

Had great time snatching my allotment, enjoying a couple of 14's and a 12. Missed BA's I hoped to meet up with but had a great visit with Aaron and Gregg. Said hello to Annie too!
Died down quickly once the initial rush was over. Unless it picks up again as people get off work there should be no problems for any late comers.

Yeah, I didn't mean I passed because I couldn't find it; I passed because IMHO there's no way Vlad is worth $30 (or $27, whatever BM is charging) a bottle (regardless of how much they claim it costs to make). But Cascade ended up with my money anyway so they still won

can't get enough of that beer, absolutely love it.

Is XIV already on sale at the barrel house?

Yes, they had already sold 3 cases when I stopped by at 12:45 or so. I don't know how much they have but I wouldn't recommend waiting if you want to get some.

Uh - 30 cases you mean. According to their twitter feed they've sold half (whatever that means) as of about an hour ago.

I don't mean to butt in but I think spaceloaf is talking about the brewery, not Bottleworks.
Still hoping to get a glass before I go home, would be great to try XII again too...

A little less than 3 cases left @ the barrel house

Yes, sorry I should have clicked "reply." I was responding to m4ttj0nes' question about the bottles going on sale at the Barrel House in PDX. But honkduh already gave the update so I'll just shut up now.

FYI: XII blew at about 11:45. Didn't last long. I don't know if they put another keg on, but I'm inclined to think they didn't.

Was that the real XII, or the 5 Rings that had been mistakenly presented as XII? I know I enjoyed a couple of glasses of the XII just before I left at 12:30.

I was there ~1:30 and XII was on.

Good to know. Was that the only special beer that was on tap for the event? I'm hoping they throw us working stiffs a bone for the rush hour wave...

Maybe. I saw the bartender wipe "Bottleworks XII" off of the chalkboard, and assumed that meant that the keg had kicked. I left around 11:45. Did they re-add it to the board?

I didn't really pay attention to the list, other to notice them wiping the XII, then saw that they also had XIII on tap. Pretty sure that one will still be going tonight.

Bottleworks XII is a sour/wild, and as I recall very tart and fruity. 5 Golden Rings is a BSPA. I haven't had it (only bought one bottle), but I don't think the two could be easily confused.

I stand corrected. Not paying attention. Just wanted to make sure people are aware it's apparently going fast at Bottleworks. Thanks for the correction.
Don't let the price make you sorry later

I'm about to catch the bus over there... good to know I already have a couple bottles in the bag, but I'm looking forward to trying a glass today.
