Getting ready for Tampa..

 

I really liked it fresh, loved it at 6 to 8 months. After a year it seems to be losing some chocolate. I had the same reaction to BBPt5 as well. For my money, 6 to about 8 months seems to be about as long as you'd want this to go.

 

Hoping the lights stay on with the wind and rain that's coming across Long Island overnight so I'm drinking one of these to ward off the demons...

Sure, it's technically out of season, but that doesn't stop it from being good.

Felt like I was in a post-Brewvival depression for the past couple of days, so disappointed the weekend had to be over. This snapped me out of it:

 

It really does and whatta a GREAT hop bomb of a beer! (Disclaimer: when it's fresh. Had old ones that were an embarrassing and expensive drain pour which seems to be the norm for that one in a bottle here on the East Coast.

 

Just finished off some Hill Farmstead Edward, Now on to some 2012 BCBS!

Enjoying a New Glarus Brewing "Snowshoe" on a still, chilly, Wisconsin evening.

 

Picked up a few of these in Dallas yesterday. I found it just a bit cloyingly sweet for a Flanders, but not so much that it ruined the beer. In general it's an enjoyable drink.

 

Onto one of Illinois finest.

Yo. Fuckin' smarter than we are. Evidence: See how it instinctively knows good beer? Took me 40 fuckin' years to figure this shit out. Snake knew it the minute the cap was popped.

Treat 'im like a god, dude. They were worshipped for a reason, y'know? Ancient reptiles = mad respect. Snakes been around for what? Almost 100 million years? Man, what? Less than half a (one) million years - at best... and all we've done is to fuck up the planet for everything else.
