Re-org'ing the beer boxes and found an old Smokestack Double-Wide in one, from 2008.
A holdover from my voracious days of trading, this one hails from BGThang's domain.
Drinking beautifully even if the hops are much 'paler' in nature.

No review tonight, but suffice it to say that I'm enjoying this Alchemy Hour. Although, not as much retention or lacing as I was expecting . . . could be the glass (hence waiting to review another time). That honey malt really smooths it out on the back end, but it still maintains a strong, lingering hop flavor. Great balance of smooth, malty sweetness and bitter, hoppy bite.

I'm sensing a touch of sarcasm. iPads don't have flash. Phone was charging. Camera was too much work to upload for this thread.

I just lost power, and it'll supposedly take a few hours to fix... good thing I have the appropriate beer on hand!
