I have one of those new fangled IPA glasses ... I refuse to use it cause that shit is going down and I am not going to lose any beer because of it. if it needs a holder, no thanks. ;-)

Having this one for the first time, paired with one of my favorite albums.

 

Trying one now for the first time and it just isn't doing it for me, it starts out nice and balanced but falls flat on its face with a finish that's too sweet. (...I know, I'm the minority. But, I bet this was much more impressive a month or more ago.) - Just my humble two cents.

 

Severely disappointed. Here's hoping the Enjoy By in me fridge is far better.

That De Struise glass...huge want...did you buy it recently?

 

IMO the best beer from Detroit. I've been a fan of Atwater for a while (first brewery I visited) and I think this is by far their best beer. Definitely a nice step down from the sweetness of their Vanilla Java Porter, and can't taste a bit of the 11%. If you're looking for a 'light' Imperial Stout, this beer is it.

Yeah I definitely still liked it, but I think my palate and glass choice weren't fully up to the task tonight. I'll write a review in another day or two.

Did you get any garlicky notes from it? Not in a bad way, but still.
