Anyone interested in a beer swap meet?

    This is just to test the waters to see if there's any interest at all. I work at a brewery in boulder and i was thinking of putting together an event at the brewery where we can all bring a few beers or as many as u want and trade over a few pints or tasters. Maybe even(if there's enough interest) do a dollar off all pints or tasters for all traders. U can trade whatever u like sessions,rares , whales? $4$. I know from trading here in CO that there are a lot of great traders and cool people with awesome cellars. It would be great if we had an event every once in a while to meet new people make new friends and trade some awesome brews. I can't really see there being to many rules to the trade other than the main one Absolutely no Selling or cash exchange for bottles of any kind. And for now no tastings of traded brews, but I'm sure that can be changed if we do tastings in moderation. If any one has any ideas or comments feel free to post or message me. Thanks hope to hear from u guys

    I like the idea! Would consider it, but sure like to share and taste although I know that certainly isn't the best scenario for the brewery. But I would consider trying it maybe once a month or something!

    I have never been to a meeting, but from my understanding that is something that you are talking about. Maybe someone here who has gone can give you more insight.

    This mostly a hombrew sharing club not a serious BA style traders place. From what I've seen. I'm been a couple times and haven't seen to many BA's there

    I'd be interested depending on when. Which brewery do you work at? Since Avery is doing their release next weekend at 5:00 probably want to get there around 3:00ish if you're going; what would you think about doing something around noon at your brewery?

    Sorry I just assumed every one realized it was Avery I worked for. I couldn't do this on Saturday as I have to work that day and there's the uncle Jacobs release.

    Any interest in the weekend of May 10th? I know it is about a month out, but it would give us time to plan and maybe post an event on BA. If you work the bar, I've probably run into you before, as I live just down the street from Avery. Cheers!

    I'm interested and will keep up with the thread. I've also probably ran into BlackElvis. I've brought in a few bottles of Southern Tier's offerings for Matt who works there. The Avery Tap Room is a fun time.

    Yeah, Matt's a solid dude. If a date doesn't get set before the weekend in May, I'll shoot BlackElvis a message and maybe we can get it squared away for that weekend.
