What beer are you drinking now? #131

Alchemy didn't do it for me, I had two the other night and thought it was too sugary sweet on the back end. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. (I share in that *cough*...there must be some sort of beer bug going around and Hop Slam is the remedy!)

 

Just plucked this tasty little puppy from the cellar. 2011, a little thin but damn it's yummy

 

H2O tonight but just put some FW Union Jack IPA and Schlafly Irish Style Extra Stout in the 'fridge to cool off for tomorrow night. Cheers all and happy Friday.

Got this in a package today from a great BA, InVinoVeritas, couldn't wait, put it right in the fridge and had to have one tonight. Delicious! Thank you!

 

Thought about a Bigfoot, but just had a hankering for a hob bomb. Glad I picked this up at the store the other day! And the biggest shock of all, my girl actually likes this stuff.


What the hell is happening? First she hated stouts, now she buys sixers of them. Then she asked for a sip of this..."You'll hate it", I told her. "I like it! It's sweet and fruity, and not too bitter." 102 IBU's. Seems like a strange place to start digging IPA's. It's awesome and all, just as long as we're not fighting over the last Enjoy By or Nugget Nectar on the shelf! Cheers!

One of the last stragglers from my O-fest tasting fest all last season. Really nice overall. Well balanced and malty without being too fruity. Nicely robust and fairly creamy. One of the better examples I have had this year. Brings my total unique O-fests to 26 for the year (missed Paulaner though somehow)


Breaking in my Ommegang glass I bought last week. a 2010 bottle, but this was delicious. Plenty of cocoa and dark chocolate with well balance yeast fruitiness. Love Ommegang so much
