Thanks everyone here for all your help getting me through the process of brewing my first and beyond. You all were right in saying "be patient" when my first 2 tasting of my Caribou Slobber NB kit did not go over well. Last night I went to the store and bought some Moose Drool which this is supposed to be a clone of. After 3 weeks in the bottle I cracked open and did a side by side and mine both looked AND tasted almost identical!:grinning: Most excellent!!

I am sure you all look forward to make eventual kegging questions!

Good job! Save a bottle of Moose Drool and do another side by side in another month. Your beer will be even better!

Congrats on your first batch. If your beer tastes like Moose Drool, I'd call that a great success. I think it might me the best English "American" Brown Ale made in the USA.

Here's the challenge: Put a note on at least two of your Slobbers that says "do not drink before six months from now". Then have a sober trusted friend give you a blind taste test with Moose Drool and Dogfish Indian Brown Ale and your First Ever.

    Please post the results.

My buddy has a crawl space where he stores his beer. Think I will stash a sixer in there.

Yea I am pretty pleased. Bottling my second batch today. A nice IIPA. What to make next??
