Any thoughts or plans for doing any 100% brett beers?

mmm, el cedro is really good. not too much brett though, which leads me to think this will be a completely different beer after a year or so...
cedar is really subdued compared to some cigar city in your face cedar assults. nice citrus hop compliments that. well done. very nice!

Anyone seen JK's tap list for the tour today? Sour Black Metal with......watermelon. Someone please go and let us all know how that tastes.

Hmm... wonder if it will still be around next weekend? If so... I'll give it a shot. Taking my parents and wife up there next Saturday.

I was lucky enough to be in the area today, basically an upfront taste of watermelon with malty overtones of black metal and slight sour tangs, very interesting flavor! Was an 80% Black Metal/20% barrel-aged sour beer with watermelon included at packaging time (description from their tasting list card)

We have fermented some 100% brett beer in oak, which we blended with barrel-aged, sour Black Metal to make Funk Metal. We like having the 100% brett beer around for our blends because we feel it adds a nice softness to the finished beer, but we don't have any plans to release a 100% brett beer on its own right now.

We're starting to see some fermentation activity from our 100% spontaneous coolship batches. JK

Enjoying Cedro from bottle. Different from when enjoyed on tap at Stanley's a few weeks back. Brett is not quite as noticeable, more cedar/hops. Still good, especially on this warm evening.

I used to say Jester King was my favorite beer outside of California, as of tonight California shall no longer be mentioned. Thanks Jester King, putting Texas sours on the map.

Man. Pretty bummed there won't be any sours on the tasting menu this weekend besides Bonnie. Maybe if Jeff knew I was flying down from Chicago to drink beer at their brewery* they would throw some on for me??

*And also to see my family, but mainly to drink beer.
