Went back home to Upstate New York for my high school reunion. Two beers I had during my stay that were memorable were the Eliot Ness and the Heavy Seas Loose Cannon. Loved 'em both.

Meantime Naval College Old Porter. I don't think most people have heard of the brewery, let alone this beer.

A sleeper would imply people don't know about it. I can't go one day without a Hop Stoopid reference on this site

You forgot Saint Arnold Endeavour from your state. Got it as an extra in my first ever trade and I remember loving that beer. I would say Cubano Espresso Brown Ale from CCB having had my first one. But seeing as how CCB is harder to obtain outside of FL I can see why that is. I would also submit Dirty Bastard as I always see the other Founders beers getting the acclaim but gah damn that DB I got as an extra was insanely good.

nitro typically changes the flavor and aroma profile of a beer a little bit but i've never done a side by side with both versions of left hand milk stout so i couldnt tell you exactly how that works in this beer.

Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale, Flying Fish exit 16, Flying Dog Kujo highly underrated, Weyerbacher Old Heathen, Flying Dog single hop series (that centennial at 10% was stupid drinkable), Caldera IPA.
For the bomber price, Elysian Dragonstooth oatmeal stout (by far my favorite non-coffe oatmeal), ST Rastafar Rye, and Port Old Visconsity doesn't get mentioned often enough.

I don't think I've had Endeavor; then again the last St. Arnold I had (Weedwacker or Lawnmower, I can't remember) was rather disappointing.

I wouldn't say it's exactly unknown but I would second that this is one of the great local IPAs around. I've been seeking out local IPAs and got to try this thanks to a great trader. Beautiful beer and inexpensive in a 6 pack.

When I started working at a liquor store a year and a half ago I religiously bought a few beers, Eliot Ness and Loose Cannon were the very few I was buying multiple 6-packs of. Solid representations of each style.
