You know Erik; it is like sex - first everybody is telling you it is dirty and don't try it, than you try it anyway to see what it is like and it feels new and strange, after a while you become more experienced and you think it is fun.

I just though to give you an example you would understand. Do I have to think of another one?

I think I can handle not being a lover of sours.

I'll stick it out with Thijs and we'll drink all the bitter and malty stuff while you guys venture out into the world of lemonade beers!

Hey, don't know about that... who knows what one will do on a Framboos induced drunken rage

I'm a much better candidate to enjoy the Framboos than the floor or pavement. Please don't break my softies/girlies heart.

I only enjoyed the Hommage becuase it was rare and the Oude Geuze because it was awesome.

It will just me, Thijs and maybe one of them monks

If you enjoy Hommage, you will enjoy Framboos even more since it's the rarest and Hommage is just a poor man version. Oh, I shouldn't talk you into this since there will less sour available if all you guys convert.

It will be awesome to drink sour with one of the monk.

Yeah... Hommage is like bud light compared to Framboos... gotta taste the rare man.

You got most of it right. But starting to like sours only means that I will drink more beer :grinning: I trained hard lately so be afraid !

Hahhaa, I know how hard your train. Keep chugging down Double Black and 5 square like Heineken.

Next on the global news broadcast will be your image chugging down a whole bottle of Framboos like Bud Light.

I tried bud light in Louisiana years ago, couldn't get it in my throat. Even our tap water is better than that.

    Anyways...

As far as the prices go, they look pretty outrageous at first glance. Then again, given that the Armand'4 series was 24e a piece at the brewery, I would say Framboos at 26e a piece is very reasonable. I feared much worse. Obviously MG and Rosso are pretty nuts, though they are vintage bottles. I'm sure a vintage Framboos '99 would be insanely priced as well. The other sours aren't that nuts compared to shop prices around here.

In the end, we all can't wait to show up and give them our money. Nobody is forcing us to drink 10cl samples of Issy for 13 euro, but we all will. I will be happy to split a few 3F with the gang, then drink relatively cheap 25cl Port Brewing glasses for the rest of the evening. Or sit in a corner drinking da 'boos until they kick me out. Man that Hommage was the shiznits

Either way, good times will be had, guaranteed!

    Jeff

Yeah, I made a spreadsheet to actually track/tally what I was thinking of trying, and holy shit is it expensive. But probably significantly cheaper than trying to compile this list on my own...

Agree. It's still much cheaper than trying to track down and trade for them or go to the 'Bay route.

Yes, I've done something similar. The numbers are... alarming. That said, I had a feeling this might be the case so I've budgeted a good chunk. And I'm all for sharing the expensive bottles with as many folks as are interested!
