Oh, and for the sake of grammar, I meant, "hear."

The Saint Arnold "Wackers" are not their best stuff. Move up their lineup. Their Elissa IPA and Christmas Ale are both very, very good. I haven't had the Endeavor DIPA, but the word is it's amazing.

Starting to see more of it lately.................. but "JAI ALAI" has definatly slid under the radar in the past ........................ probably my favorite IPA:wink:..............

To me a sleeper would have to be a relatively unknown beer that has the potential to be huge.
And those of us in NJ know that Kane Head High fits the bill. A great west coast style, very drinkable IPA.
When and if it's bottled it has the potential to be big.

    Yup!

Also, everyone brings up Two Hearted (which I agree is one of my favorites), but never hear mention of Founder's Centennial IPA on here. It's a sleeper IPA if you ask me. So is Lakefront IPA.

    This too!

My buddy brought me a bottle of Night Train from WI to NJ and I was honestly amazed by it. Phenominally complex

It does show up on some shelves here in the US, but there is a $20 price tag that holds it back. Isn't it <=$9 at the brewery? What a mark up! I would also mention OCD from the same brewery, but again....$20 :slight_frown:

Freigeist Abraxxxas.....without a doubt. Best Berliner Weisse from Germany I've had yet and only like $4 for a bottle.

I haven't bought it from the brewery (I know they sell growlers, not sure if they sell bottles as well). Cheapest I've seen it around town is $11, which I think is pretty reasonable.

Had a friend pick some up for me at the brewery for the original release. They mentioned he bought the last of the bottles, all for $8 each. I suppose $11 on the mainland isn't too bad as you will avoid the ferry and get great beer faster/easier.

I'm on the island, I'm pretty sure that's the best price except at the brewery. I'll have the check it out next time, I've only gone there for yeast, and they weren't doing growler fills at the time so I didn't check out their retail operation.

Schlafly Oak-Aged Barleywine (damn near undrinkable fresh, but wonderful with around 3 years on it, and priced right), St. Bernardus Christmas Ale ($10-11 bucks typically, and hands-down one of the best BDSAs I've had...better than Rochefort 10 hands-down and, when you factor in price and difficulty to obtain it, I think it gives Westy 12 a run for its money), Fantome Saison...SERIOUSLY good, Goose Island Pere Jacques, a great American dubbel, Goose Island Fleur (now retired, sadly), which was the best, cheap 'wild/funky' beer out there, and Firestone Walker Double DBA...Sucaba and Parabola get all the hype, but this is a FANTASTIC English-style barleywine, for a good price
