Chicago and Adrain, Michigan beer stores?

Is she flying in/out of Chicago/Adrian MI from AZ? In Chicago, tell her to walk over to Binny's Grand, about 10 blocks west of the south part of the Mag Mile. That ought to give her the best chance of getting you stuff you can't get in AZ. I can't offer any advice on Adrian.

I would tell her to go for ZD if its there, a couple others are CW Peruvian Morning and BBBW, FBS/FIS, Pt5/DCT. And of course if she sees BCBCS she should get you some too.

 

So are you having her pack the beer into her checked luggage or what? Or shipping a package home?

 

Presumably flying from the Detroit airport? There is not much in Adrian so she's going to be better off to stop somewhere in suburban Detroit to find anything worthy. The main stuff from Founders, Short's, Dark Horse etc. is usually found in supermarkets (maybe there is a Meijer store in Adrian), but it could be old since demand in Adrian is probably not so great.

Depending on how she will get from Chicago to Adrian, she could drive I-80/I-90 to Toledo, and there are good stores there (The Andersons has two stores, but the one in Sylvania is fairly convenient for getting to Adrian. However, there is no Short's stuff because they don't distribute outside of MI.) By going thru Toledo will allow her to have the stuff at her hotel and be able to carefully pack it in her checked luggage rather than trying to do that at the airport check-in.

 

Where on Michigan ave? It's a long street. I could make recommendations based on where she's staying.

yea if you're talking adrian mi then i would have her run to andersons because adrian doesnt really have much. there is a super liquor 3 in adrian that has the best selection in town but is still nothing special. about 20 minutes north of adrian there is a place right by my house called woodstock wine and cheese that has a good selection of beers and some gems just sitting there collecting dust.
